I've decided I'm going to play hookie from work tomorrow.  It's going to be too nice again tomorrow for me to be stuck in an office all day.  BF's mom arrives tomorrow afternoon, and I'd like to have the time to straighten things up, bake the hummingbird cake, and squeeze in a nap (possibly outside on the deck!).

I'm impatiently waiting for the bank to post the March statements so I can reconcile the accounts.  Hurry up, bank!  I need to close out the month...grrrr.

Tina - I hope the vet can help miss Agnes. I know it must be difficult to watch her struggling.

Lori - I can't believe how bad the flooding is there. It's hard to even imagine what that must be like. I hope things start to calm down soon but I heard it may worsen until the weekend. Stay high and dry.

Jackie - It's good to hear positive updates on how Charles is doing. I think we're all marveling at how well things have gone. Whew and yay!

It's chilly this morning and feels more like December than April but if the sun comes out, I think it'll warm up nicely. I would love for it to really start to feel like Spring and to be able to get outside and do some flower planting.

I brought Belle to work today.  She is due for her rattlesnake vaccine.  She's wearing her pretty new Dublin collar and Ruger can't keep his paws off her. lol  She likes to play rough, so she's in heaven.  I left Twister at home with Charles.  Twister was snuggled up next to Charles is the recliner when we left.

Tina - what are you going to do for your BD? Mine's in 2 weeks and I was trying to think if there's anything I wanted to ask DH for and I couldn't think of anything. How sad is that? The older I get the less I want "stuff".

Cathy, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. My son is supposed to come home and take me out for dinner.  Other than that...I'm open.

If my wish came true I would be getting an extreme home makeover. I don't even want extreme, I just want the makeover.

You and me both. I would be thrilled just to have a kitchen makeover or one of my bathrooms. I don't think there's much chance of getting those for my BD though. Dinner out might be nice though.

DH sent me roses for no reason other than it's Thursday.  Now, I'm feeling like poop because I orchestrated an April Fool's Day prank on him, & it's too late to call it off.  At least he has a sense of humor.

My secretary just told me that it was offensive to say "Cook me, we're busy."  I thought that it was a big improvement over the F-bomb that I usually drop.

 its a beautiful day here so I decided to work outside on the porch.  Unfortunately some nincompoop neighbor has music blasting.  Not my sort of music either. disappointment rules

 Hey everyone, just wanted to pop in real quick & say hi. Been really busy, started the p90x on Monday, so I'm on day 4 now. The coolest part is that my BF is doing it with me!! he is NOT the 'workout' type and gets easily discouraged, so the fact that he's made it through 4 workouts ( intense workouts) is awesome. Very proud of him. 

He also helped me train his dogs last night, I figured i should it least try to do something with them, since he doesn't, but then I invited him to help. So we did 'ping pong puppy' LOL I sat in the kitchen with a bowl of food & he was on the couch with a bowl of food, we called the dog back & forth. Amber had a hard time at first!! LOL it's like she can't hear anything in the beginning. Bella did pretty well. Good to change it up, they're just so used to their normal routines of eating out of a bowl, happy to get their brains working for a bit.

so I was proud of him for helping with that,cuz usually he has no interest. So working out together is having positive effects on other parts of life! woo!!

Havent been around much lately....missing you guys alot!

I love spring!

Neiko was introduced to elevated victims last night during search training. The vics were 7+ feet in the air. He did great!! He seems to be gaining confidence and is leaving me for longer periods and roaming further. We may just make a real SAR dog out of him yet! :)

 OK off to a meeting...bleh... BUT, we might have it outside on the picnic table out back :)

started the p90x on Monday

P90X is the most miserable workout ever. I swear a lot at that guy. I don't do any of the strength ones, mostly just the plyo or yoga DVDs. Are you doing the diet along with it?

I moved Pirate's x-pen upstairs so he could bask in his fav sunny place.

I've been busy busy busy this morning answering the work phone, trying to get caught up on invoices, and making next week's schedule. I love making the schedule ;-) the power of the pen is too much!

BF texted me to call someone, who's name I don't recognize. I called anyway because I thought it might be his attorney, and it goes to the Central FL zoo. Weird. I hope it was his attorney and they are finally settling his case. We have plans for that money! He promised me a Volvo XC90. That was dumb of him ;)
