again...this time about a tatoo or stamp in ear...

sorry I know I ask a lot of questions. When our greataunt got DeeDee the breeder never gave us the papers. Not that it would really matter since our greataunt got her spayed right away and she had no intentions on breeding her. I would like to know about her background thou and wonder if she can withhold the papers. Is there a way with just the name to get any info? Her name is Maxine's DeeDee and while holding her today my girls discovered a number stamped inside of her ear. It 's the number 62. Does that mean anything to any of you? The dogs in germany have a long number tatooted in their ears but I have never seen this here.

Maybe Glenda or Jaime might know about this, my dog is not a purebred dog. Could you contact an association regarding your dog's breed and ask them?? We have so many smart people on this forum, someone is bound to have an answer for you. Jules

It might be the last two digits of the registration number.
