    MC Mundane-Day

Paper finished.  Brain as scorched as the interior of the microwave after I burned the popcorn.  (Really, the nail polish remover did help, though.)  I'm currently fueled on bunny sugar cookies.  I have to get up in 4'ish hours.   Good wishes for a good Monday for all, particularly the ill, injured, and uncomfortable among us - two and four legged alike.

    ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

Hope you're catching some zzzzzzzzzzzz's, Paige.  I woke up at 2:00am and never could get back to sleep.  Busy day today and it would have been nice to have some rest.

Amanda, I'm sorry Bevo had to go back in for the drain tube.  Don't beat yourself up, we all make choices like that sometimes that don't work out.  ((Hugs))

Well, I seem to have nothing to say other than I wish I was sleeping.  Have a good Monday, if that's even possible. lol

ETA, where's Candace??  I mean, Jezabel.  I need check into FB and see if she's around over there.

There needs to be a law against "sleepus interuptus" no matter what the root of it....ringing phones, rude body parts.......just ought to be a law.....

    That is all.

    • Gold Top Dog

I thought I'd read Candace's home computer was down.

I'm functioning on little sleep - Agnes is getting up every 2 hours to pee, and still wetting her bed.

Drain cleaner dude is coming tomorrow so I may be able to do laundry again at home by tomorrow night.

Good thoughts for Bevo and Pirate and Hot Shot.  And their humans!

My cats have a death wish.  Saturday evening I fed everyone and went for a walk with Agnes.  Came home to find my nice Corningware casserole dish on the floor in a million pieces.  The chicken I'd cooked for the critters was in it, mostly bones because I'd been feeding it.  I forgot to put it away before the walk and Moose decided to try to get the lid off to get to the scraps.  Unfortunately, because he doesn't have thumbs, he pushed the entire thing off the counter to get the lid off.  There was broken Corningware everywhere, not to mention the chicken bones and scraps and all the liquid that had gelled in the bottom of the dish.

Then for S&G, he knocked a glass off the counter Sunday morning (again when I was walking Agnes) and it broke into another million pieces.

Karen, is Bugsy hungry for some cat?

It's been a sucky morning.  The boys were both tired & pissy about having to get up & go back to school today.  I vaguely recall having a conversation with DH about what a bad idea it was to come back on Sunday, but he knew best & did what he wanted to do.  I did what every kind, loving wife would do in that situation....woke his butt up & let him deal with them!

Bev is doing good.  The vet said that he is draining a lot but that it doesn't appear to be infected, which is good.  He also said that, if I'd like, Bev could just live with him from now on.  I declined & warned him that the only time that Bev is laid back & easygoing is when he's recovering from anesthesia, so he had best be prepared for him to be psycho again soon.

Shooter is missing Bev.  Last night, he slept in Bev's spot on the bed, & this morning, he curled up on Bev's bed in the living room.  I let him come along with me today, so that he could get extra attention.  As soon as we got here, he took off to visit everyone in the office & to mooch breakfast.

When I wasn't with the puppies - I spent every other hour scrubbing my basement with Clorox so we don't get mold after it flooded last weekend.

    So much fun !!!

embarrassingly that is a permanent state for Beastie, gulp

DH has been battling insomnia of late so last night already awake there was this 'noise'.  This is a man that has spent 36 yrs in law enforcement and in the UK burglary is way too common so he jumps up and grabs a handgun to find out what it was - me very groggy thinking doG I hope Bugsy wasn't wandering. Anyway never found out what it was but it was a bit creepy.

Then after taking ages to get back to sleep he had to get up at 5:30, first time EVER B got up all wiggly like OK lets get the day going but then slumped down at the foot of the bed and went back to sleep.  I think DH was insulted, in B's defense it was an awful rainy morning LOL

I am exhausted from the mulch moving extravaganza and the sleepless night.  Almost an entire pot of coffee and a 3 mile run and I am still zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Alright let's get this party started..........ain't nobody going to do this work for me!

When it rains, it pours. I have a second interview coming up. I was invited to attend an "information session" at the college I applied to for an admin assistant position on Thursday night. I ALSO am privy to information from a coworker that my employers are closing the office and allowing us to all work from home and they are supposed to officially announce that this week (I'm thinking Wednesday morning during our normal department meeting). If they do, then I'll stay with them. Working from home is too big of a perk to pass up and will save me so much in commute costs (gas, car repairs, time..). However, until it's official, I shall continue the interviewing and search. I hate interviewing!! I knew I nailed the last one though, and I never feel like that.

In other news, I have once again managed to forget my lunch at home. Only today, I also left my debit card, credit card and have no cash on me. And, I'm starving.

Ugh Monday.  At least this week is a short week for me, I have friday off :)

But it started out good, but then when i checked my bank account online, I was shocked to see I had only $300 in my account lol.  With bills and mortgage due this week, I went in to check what was going on, someone copied Derek's card and last night withdrew our money!

When I phoned telephone banking, the lady asked me what my last purchase was and I told her, then asked me what I was doing at 7:00 p.m. last night.  Uhhh let me see, NOT withdrawing all my money??? lol.  Frustrating!  And it's going to take 5 - 7 business days for us to get the money back!  Luckily my paycheque this week will cover the mortgage, and we have overdraft, but I hate using the overdraft!  And this weekend Derek and I are going away, so we will have no money with debit and i don't want to use credit cards!  Unless I transfer money out of savings, but I don't want to do that either.  GAH!

And I just remembered, on Monday I have a car payment coming out.  Oooooh man this sucks!

Hove Bev starts feeling better soon! I know I'm missing a lot but I'm sooo tired, so good vibes to anyone who needs em.

Today its a little chilly but seems nice enough! I have a sudden urge to go shopping so I think I'm gonna. YAY!

The dogs will get a nice walk later lols.

Lauren, that sucks!  I'm so sorry that happened.  Hopefully, the bank will fix it quickly.

I just got a job offer within the company I am with right now.  It would be mean a promotion, more money, more responsibility, & less work hours, all of which are good things.  It would also involve relocating, which isn't such a good thing.  I have some time to make a decision, so I'm not going to stress over it yet.

I had bad insomnia on Saturday night and didn't get much sleep, so I felt like a slug all day yesterday. DH has a really bad cold and his snoring almost rattles the windows. Last night he went to bed early and I could hear it in the family room with the TV on. I decided to let him and Sassy have the bed and I slept in the guest bedroom. Had an amazing night's sleep :)

I missed a bunch of stuff here over the weekend, like the news about Bevo. It sounds like he's doing okay though, so I'm glad for that. I guess we'll know more about Pirate today? I hope he's just going to need some rest to recover.

I got the 2nd test result back on my thyroid and I can't tell what the heck it means, so I'm going to do some reading today. I could just trust that my dr. will do whatever's necessary but I'm the type who needs to know all the details. I so hope that an adjustment to the meds will help.

I know you guys already think I've been nutso about my fascination with puppies but that Shiba Inu litter went to their forever homes this weekend and they recorded good-bye videos of each pup. By the time I tuned in, there was just one of the 5 pups left and I about turned into a big puddle of tears seeing her there all alone. She went to her forever home yesterday, so I feel a little better but geesho, what a sap I've become.

Jackie - I hope you had an amazing weekend. I saw one of your posts aboue low-residue diets. Is that because of the bowel surgery and is it just temporary?

Luke is now a card carrying member of the bark park. I have to go for the training session though in order for him to keep his membership.

I haven't gotten any response back yet about the seemingly disturbing facebook posting I made the other week. Everyone here should know, that if I post something on facebook that seems disturbing, that I am not a homicidal maniac. I merely have a twisted sense of humor, and I probably don't realize how that could be interpreted as something I didn't mean it to be. Anyway, always feel free to ask me to clarify about something I have said here, on facebook, or anywhere else.

Third issue, to the parent who is unhappy about my going away Thursday and Friday, no matter how much you bitch moan and complain about how hard your days will be, I am not going to cancel my trip. In order to keep my work, I need to do 20 hours of training a year. This will take care of 12 of my hours. Honestly, the child who is my client is the least of the problems at this point in the game. I know your other son is the very difficult one to get out the door now. I can do nothing about that. I can, if you pester the company enough about it, and get him authorized for some hours, switch from the one who is less of a problem to the child who has more of a problem. I mean, the one who is my client started out as the bigger problem. Get him authorized, which I guarantee, if you pester enough, it shouldn't be hard, and I will gladly switch from one kid to the other. I'll let you deal with the "now" easy one, while I deal with the difficult one. But, if you continue to complain about my taking two days so that I can keep my job, well, lets just say there are plenty of kids waiting for services.

Imagine how crappy I felt taking Gracie home and leaving her brother All.ALONE. for the first time in his little 11 week old life.  He had 10 brothers and sisters, then it was down to just him and Gracie, aka"Cha Cha", because they were the two toughest puppies in the litter.  I felt like such a jerk leaving him behind, and he didn't find a new home for another week!

Cathy, you and I seem alike in the research all options when big issues are afoot.  I hope you get good answers and positive supportive care so you feel great.

Courtney, thinking of you and your family.  Hope things are going better than expected - did you say your grandmother's funeral is Wednesday?

Michelle by law and MasterCard and Visa rules they have to provide provisional credit until THEY investigate the fraud.  I would call them back and insist!!  Don't give up, they will and have to do it.

I went food shopping right after dropping Cody off to school, glad that job is behind me.  I love the mornings in the supermarket it is so quiet and I get out quickly but there is no one at home to help carry the bags and put away so I am not happy about that!  Now I have to clean up, empty the dish washer, do laundry and make beds and start to think about what dinner will consist of.   Leaving on another business trip Wednesday thru Friday so I want everything done before I leave.

Sorry so many people are having trouble sleeping.  I am fortunate not to have those problems I can sleep like a rock and IF I wake up, I go right back out.  My DH is another story he wakes and can't go back to sleep and hates me for my ability to sleep whenever.

Amanda,  Poor Bevo I hope he is better real soon.

Good vibes to all who needs them today!
