    Sunday MC

I shoveled approx 5 inches of snow off the driveway this morning, 3-21-10.

I should probably stop whining about the rain, then:)

It's clouding over here!!!  :(  First time I saw clouds in almost a week.  I even saw new grass coming up!

Well, it's sunny here, albeit only 40 degrees.

Broke down and went to the laundromat to wash clothes.  Am drying at home and all the dog bedding is on the clothesline.

    Not much else.

Cher, good story from Saturday!  You're a goooood girl!

Agnes is outside watching the malamute that is two yards over.  They keep looking at each other - probably sending telepathic messages about ganging up on the squirrels in the middle yard.

Got up way early and went to a rabies clinic since Sammy was due for his 3yr shot. We were there almost an hour and a half, ugh.  Sam was not really behaving himself at the end since there were intact males around, and we haven't been able to get him to be less aggressive.  It wasn't a good start to anything this AM.  I want to enjoy the sun before it turns into rain this week.

I've had a busy weekend, and I don't like it Sad

good thoughts for Pirate and anyone else who needs them!

whew everywhere that needed mulch has it.  All the water we have had in the last 5-6 months has caused some significant erosion in a few areas so I had to move soil prior to mulching those areas. I am tired!

Now I plan on having a beer and watching some hoops before sorting out dinner.

We are cooler and overcast today - not what they predicted but better mulching weather than yesterday which was super duper sunny and nearly 80*  Bring on the rain it will set the mulch and water the grass seed.  I am going to have to mow on Tuesday whether the seed sprouts or not.  The weeds and onions are growing, well like weeds! It looks terrible.  Trying not to be pissy with DH who was 'going' to seed in the Fall which is much more successful in this part of the world

Took Bugsy to the lake this morning, first time DH saw him swimming for his duck!  DH took some decent pics I posted those, although he didn't get the video I wanted.

Feeling bad for Meg and Pirate we know all too well the canine knee injury scene. Fortunately most small dogs will heal with rest.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday folks!

The rain seems to be over.  We are heading out in a bit to enjoy.

Yesterday we went to the navy base and spent hour in the Navy Air Museum.  Was a blast, and the guys even took a shot of me sitting in a Blue Angel.  And no, I can't post it without serious assistances! IT did not call DS and mess up his day.  She sent him a nasty email this morning, but at least he didn't have to listen to her yipping.

Off to enjoy the sunshine......Ron, I'm sorry you got snowed on again!

Our yard seems to have become THE hangout for various black birds.  We have quite the large number of red winged black birds, starlings, cowbirds, perhaps a brewers blackbird? and grackles who seem to have taken up residence in our trees.  There also seem to be quite a few purple finches, sparrows and chickadees and cardinals around.  I think it's because we have been keeping our feeders full, also FH throws the waste seed out in the spare lot from his birds downstairs.

I have the most delicious smelling chicken curry in the slow cooker.  I have never bought or cooked a whole chicken until now.  I found what looked to be a good receipe on the internet, improvised a little and voila!  I hope it tastes as good as it smells.

I am going outside to clean my car - with all of FH's ski gear in it, it has gotten quite messy.  I hate a messy car.  Drives me nuts.  (was that a pun?) LOL.

Oh and Ron -  I am laughing at you shoveling snow!!!  LOL!  It is sunny here, but not incredibly warm, I think it's around 10 degrees out.  As long as there's sun, I'll take it though.

Wow.  Snow.  And rain.  I was going to complain about it being a little chilly (60 degrees) but I guess I won't.  I'm going to head for Home Depot later for some soil and bark if I can bribe someone to come with me. My vine in front is leafing out so I guess I still haven't managed to kill it.  It looks so pretty when it blooms.

It's 5:15 and it's the first time I've sat down at the computer ALL day.  We've had another hugely busy weekend and then I'm trying to pack to go away (mostly for the dogs -- when you've got dogs on meds it's a major deal to get those ready so whoever takes care of them can do that *easily*.

But sometimes I just think I'm getting old and "set in my ways" (WHY is it that the things your Mother used to say come back to HAUNT you so badly??)  -- I needed to cook for them for THREE days (not my usual weekly) and I have zero freezer room and I'm too cheap to throw anything away.  So trying to calculate how much to "fix"  was almost more than my slee-deprived brain could calculate.

It was 3 a.m. when *I* got to bed last night (wouldn't stop in the middle of a project) so I really only have myself to blame.

The Alpha of all Alphas just did NOT create me to be a morning person.  I do my best thinking after 10:00 p.m. LOL

I decided to take Aspen to join a local doggie daycare/training center/kennel in the local St. Patrick's Day parade.  It was a gorgeous day & I needed to do something dog related while it was so nice.  So I bundled Aspen in the car with his stroller & off we went.  It was a lot of fun.  Aspen got a lot of attention since he was in the stroller.  I think he MIGHT be on tv because of it.  I'll let you know if he is.

We went for a ride south of here and saw some beautiful fields of wildflowers.  They aren't at their peak yet but were still goregous.  I didn't take my camera but I won't forget next time.

I have a turkey breast roasting along with some carrots and potatoes.  I made a scrumptious lemon cake yesterday and can't wait for dessert. :)

Got a few minutes here, hope everyone is having a good day!

We have about 6 inches of snow on the ground and it's still snowing, ugh, I am right there with ya Ron.  It was 65 on Friday Happy Spring, lol!

I cut all my blooming daffodils and hyacynths and brought them in Friday night cause we heard it was supposed to get cold and flurries, lol, I'd say 6 inches is a little more than a flurry.

I took Hot to the vet yesterday morning, he said I have been doing a good job of keeping his wound clean.  It was much deeper than I thought and he decided we needed stiches.  He sedated him and I assisted.  He slept well yesterday and got a big shot of Anti Biotics and I am giving him 2x's daily this week.  Doc said He should start healing much faster now  that he is stitched.  He is not liking having to stay in when all that fun snow is outside.  I have let him out a few times to do his business with triple Wally World sacks on his foot, Poor Baby...

Jackie and Charles, you have been on my mind.  I hope your weekend is going well.

Meg I am sending good vibes your way for Pi.   Callie, I hope you and David have a great time.  Janice, how is that sweet baby doing? Bevo you be a good boy and mind your Mommy.

Had an unbelievably difficult week last week here's to a much better one coming up Beer

Hug to those that need them.....

    Darn right!

Apparently, I posted something the other week on Facebook that concerned someone to a great degree, and I was asked if everything was ok with my mentor. So, I tried to figure out what post this could have been about, but at the time, because I was on my phone, I couldn't see back far enough to know what this was. The only things there definitely couldn't have been it. I figured I was probably being sarcastic though, so I told her that was most likely the case. I was also curious to know who it was, so that I could let them know there is no problem, but I think I probably can't find that out, and I didn't directly ask. Anyway, I figured out later what this was likely in reference too.... and I was most definitely joking. I could see though where, if someone did not know the situation, that this posting could definitely have been concerning.

My computer is being freaky, so I'm trying to catch up.  Took each of the kids yesterday on a training/fun session one-on-one.  We had a good time.  If the computer will cooperate, I have some pictures of them playing together afterward when the last (Chloe) got back home from hers.

Today, I happened to go to tractor supply to get some TOTW for the cat.  They have their ducklings and chicks in.  OMG, I just about DIED from the cute.
