Aww Dogs!

• Aww Dogs! Debbie R Posted : 5/16/2006 6:52:56 PM Just wanted to share this story my neighbor is in for her first round of a four day hospital stay of chemo and she was scared. I made dinner and sent a plate to her hubby, and while he was outside thanking me the phone rang and it was Barbara, she was so excited she said this enormous pit bull came in and she was sitting in a chair and the dog came up to her and she petted him for a while then he laid his big head on her feet and fell asleep. She said that was the safest and calmest she felt all day. This hospital just instituted therapy dogs for cancer patients, and she will see one every night. Go Doggies , Go Doggies! • cookiemonster Posted : 5/17/2006 3:05:56 PM I have a similar story...I work at a doctor's office and we have a patient who is a very ill elderly woman who lives by herself and has no family or anything and she just loves dogs....One of my coworkers brings her dog into the office whenever this patient comes in and it just brightens up her day!
