Good luck, Meg! Good luck to you, too, Otis!

Hope Jamison's lump is nothing serious.

I have either an icky cold or mondo allergies right now. I can't tell. I took allergy meds yesterday (Zyrtec) and they didn't seem to do anything, so I took Day-Quil today, and it doesn't seem to work either. Meanwhile I have crazy sinus pain and a non-stop runny nose. Why is my body going crazy??

I got word that my grandmother died last night. I'm sad, but it really was her time. She was more than ready, and she went peacefully. However, I suspect there will be a lot of resulting family drama, since she inherited all of my grandfather's things when he died many years ago. Our family is not known to resolve such things easily. I really hope everyone (primarily my step-mother) behaves themselves respectably.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother.

The allergy stuff, that was me last week. Then I was so exhausted to. Not that I'm not exhausted this week now from daylight savings. But last week. I got message from someone around 8:30, she asked me if I could figure something out. I was on my way home from Luke's class. By the time I got home, I just sort of fell into bed, and never figured out the answer to the question.

Quick note to Luke though, it is difficult to cut your nails if you are standing with your front legs up on my shoulders, and put your body over my head. I can do it, but you could just lay nicely. He's all tired now from the vet and his running around yesterday. Hopefully several hours of napping and he'll be good to go for tonight. I'm debating if I want to pay for the extra session after the regular class if tonight he's going to be exhausted, and next week I am going to miss it because I'll be away. I would pay if we were going to miss only one, but not if we're going to miss 2 out of 3 sessions.

    Morning all,

Today my step daughter is supposed to have her Coil procedure...I didnt get to go to Tulsa with them due to major system problems here at work mostly.

Hot Shot came in Tues evening with a bloody paw.  It was a very scary night.  He tore a pad, its pretty bad, got the doc on the phone and he gave me the info I needed to clean and bandage until hubby gets home with the van from Tulsa so I can take him in.   He is staying off of it,  sleeping well and really not messing with the bandage.  Bless his heart still not sure what happened, he also has some small cuts near his eye and nose and the top of his head.   In a way its a good thing I wasnt in Tulsa or I would not have been able to help him.   It doesnt appear to be animal bites, he is not a fighter, it could be that he got into some place he wasnt supposed to and made a armadillo, possum or cat mad but I am more inclined to think it was barbed wire.  I have lived here for 20 years and other than some skunk sprays I have never had my dogs get banged up like this.  He was just getting some luvins from me on the porch and less than 20 min later came to the door with a bloody paw, :(

I am wearing down the level of stress this week has been a bit higher than usual...needing these vitamins and caffine to kick into high gear :)

3 girls I know I have missed something cause I havent been here much but sounds like I need to send you some good vibes!

Good vibes to Jameson and Sheba and all those that need them.

    Happy homecoming to Mr. Jackie!!!!

    Hugs too all

Sending some "just a bug bite" vibes for Jamison's lump. Sorry about your grandma, Cita.  I'll send you some "no family drama, please" vibes.  Just the thought of any kind of inheritance, even if it's just old pots and pans, seems to bring out the absolute worst in everyone. We're having some really gorgeous weather.  Cool mornings, warm afternoons and cool nights.  If it could only stay this way all summer! Census form was very short here. They just wanted name, age and ethnicity for everyone living in the house.  It took me all of about five minutes to fill it out and put it back on the mailbox. I think CA will have a problem with getting them filled out because of all the illegals.  A lot of people don't understand the difference between the census and immigration and will be afraid to send it back.  Actually, the census dept. doesn't give a rat's hind end whether you're here legally or not.  They just want to know if you're here. Much to do and no urge to to it.  *sigh*. Manana ... maybe.

It's really nice out here today! Spent the morning out with Simba and my parents. :) Took the pupper to petco and got him a tennis ball...because it was easter themed, yeah I spoil him. :P He met two dogs, an older lab/lab mix and an adorable merle colored border collie puppy. There was also a bunch of petco staff that randomly came up, kind of scared me but Simba enjoyed the attention. I plan on taking him for a walk later since its so nice out. Good luck with Jamison and Otis!

Courtney, I'm sorry about your grandmother's passing - I'm glad her spirit gets to move on to something even better, but I'm sorry for the potential troubles caused by her passing.  You have so much on your plate and you've had to be strongest through so many family issues over the years we've known you here.  You're not a complainer and you're so stoic.  I'll send good wishes for things to turn out ok and for her funeral or memorial services to at least be drama-free so you can celebrate her life with respect, dignity, and love.

Makes me think I need to call my grandmother - she's the last grandparent I have left and she's dragged our family through so much drama of her own, but I still love her.  Plus, she's 3/4 Irish. Stick out tongue

I am nearly done with my day - whooppeee!  That will give me enough time to go home, play w/the dogs, take a nap, and get ready for tonight.  Reminds me I need to save my calories for alcohol.

Oh yeah, I got the cutest thank you card from the Dobe rescue for the gifts for Kelly, the old girl at DRU.  Apparently, she about lost herself when she realized there were little turtles inside the big turtle.  Who doesn't love to see an old dog happy?

Cita, I'm shuddering just thinking about that kind of family drama. My family is really bad at that too. So sorry about your Grandma but hopefully she is at peace.

Courtney - I'm sorry about your grandmother and hope the family drama is minimal.

Tina - I so hope that Otis and his new family hit it off.

I'm sending good vibes for everyone else who needs them for their human or fur family members.

I have had a crazy busy day and a crazy busy week. I forced myself to go to the gym at lunch to ease some of the tension in my neck. It helped but it's still hurting.

Started the day off with a call that a pkg I'd fed ex'd on Monday hadn't made it and fed ex said it wasn't showing as picked up. I had put it in the drop box that's only 20 feet from my office, so I was baffled. They sent a guy out to check the box and sure enough, it was stuck inside somewhere. It was too late for it to get to it's destination in time but I was just thrilled that I hadn't lost my mind....well, not completely, yet.

ETA - In case anyone needs cheering up, check out these aussie puppies:

Tina - I so hope that Otis and his new family hit it off.

Great news!  I just got back from the meeting and Otis has been adopted!  She was so happy she was crying!  Otis was a little nervous, but while we were inside doing paperwork, Otis made a new snuggle-buddy out of the friend who rode with her (they came from about 2 1/2 hours away).  He is going to be in heaven, spoiled, and well-loved!  I had such a good feeling about her when we spoke over the phone several times since Sunday that I had little doubt that this would be a good placement.

    Woo hoo!!  Party!!!

    Yay for Otis!

Cathy, those aussie puppies are adorable!  <3 the split face.

Today's been pretty good, but I'm beat for no good reason.  One of my teammates is having an elective tonsilectomy tomorrow.  Her doctor did not think she needed it.  She's such a drama llama.
