FH just had his appointment with the orthopedic surgeon here. To say it went poorly, would be an understatement. His original inclination that it was serious was right.
Oh no, and the emergency room let him just sit around and then told him to "see how it goes". Sucky. I really hope you guys get good care through this and he heals up ok. I guess the ski season is over for him, eh?
Lauren - those cake toppers are CUTE! But not too silly cute - like, I really don't like the one of the wife dragging the husband. I'm a little stuffy like that. lol I like the cupcake idea, for whatever it's worth. I think you have less wasted cake, an easier thing for people to take home with them after the event if they don't have a chance to eat at the wedding, but maybe it's cost-efficient to go with the cake?
Glenda - I'm sorry about your son. It's sad, because all of his wishes to end it like adults sounds like a hidden hope to leave the path open for one of them to return to the other. If she's tossing his stuff out of the apartment, his name needs to be off of it, asap. When she leaves, she sounds like the type of person to leave it trashed for him to clean up the financial mess. "Being the adult" does not mean being a fool, so don't let him say "I'll just walk away from the security deposit" and whatnot.
I'm really sorry about the radio station closing. How does that impact your residence, since don't you rent the house that's on the same property? Good vibes for work - I know FL isn't easy in the jobs department.

Paige, how's your friend's dog doing?
As for C, the only details I got from a mutual friend were: "she has a 2+ tumor which is basically saying it's a gray area and they're not sure they got it all." As for Mayday, her owner has opted not to do the $5k spinal surgery (it sounded like some amazing bionic-dog thing). So, she will never be the dog she was before - her mom calls her Frankenstein-ish in her movements, but is in no pain. According to her owner: "I'm sure she's going to have to stay on prednisone which will speed up heart failure but the neurologist assures me she is on a low dose. We see the Cardiologist when her treatment and dosage is set." *sigh* - hug your healthy and not-so-healthy dogs tight guys - we simply don't get to have them long enough.

Does anyone know any good dog trainers in NJ?
- depending on what part of NJ and what you're looking for, Vivian Bregman is fantastic.
Also, Micksmom trains at the same place that Petra Ford does - which tells you the caliber of trainers/handlers. Here's their website:
http://www.topdogobedience.com/ They list Vivian Bregman on their brag list for student/instructor accomplishments.
Dawn Wolfe in Delran is also great to work with - a lot of fun and very accomplished dogs. I've watched her JRT Hope do bitework, even. lol http://luckydogacademy.com/
