Mindless Tuesday

I have an emergency trip to k-zoo today for a work zone accident. At least it is a gorgeous day for a drive!

Neiko did great at sar last night. He did a 10 min problem, his longest ever. And when he flushed out some deer and started to follow them, I called him back easily and he went right back to work! Amazing. I'm hoping that the brick wall we hit last month in training is over.

I have a zillion loads of laundry, cleaning and packing to do this week before sar winter training camp this weekend!

I am IRRITATED!

Today is my day off, and my 'spring break' so it really IS a whole day off. So what happens at 8am?! My phone rings. With a question that made me want to through my phone across the room and scream; it was that stupid. Don't wake ME up, because you forgot where you were going. UGH.

And on an even sadder note.... it doesn't look it's likes going to be as bright and sunny out today >:(

I had my annual mamogram this morning.

I've been out of touch for a few days. I went to Indy for a job interview on Friday. ROCKED it. I've been told that they will be sending me a contract tomorrow. They asked how soon I can relocate. I've been looking for housing (apartments). Holy Moley! Cost of living is so much more down there than here.

Anyone in the Indianapolis (Carmel, Fishers, NE Indy) that can give me advice?

Congrats on the new job!!

This morning, Cher caught a squirrel.  She's been trying to catch one for months but her coordination & stalking ability sucked.  This morning, she saw the squirrel, & calmly started stalking it.  This particular squirrel has been screwing with her for a while.  He got too bold today, & came farther out into the yard instead of going back up the tree.  Unfortunately, for him, when she went to take off after him, she didn't stumble, or trip & fall as usual.  Instead, she took off very smoothly, & picked him off, killing him immediately.  She was soooo proud  of herself afterwards!  She ran 3 victory laps around the yard before having him for breakfast. 

My baby isn't going to be a baby for much longer.  :(

Well, I think my brother and I are done for awhile.  He 'unfriended' me on facebook.  There was a....less than pleasant exchange....between me, FH and him on one of my comments.  Can't say I'm all that surprised.  I'm the only one left he even briefly spoke to.  He cannot handle anything that appears as confrontation, opposition, or criticism.  No matter how relevant of a point I may have, and how tactfully I may say it (clearly not talking about last night, b/c last night, I lost my cool with him) if it in ANY way comes out that he may not be perfect, he responds with completely hateful remarks.  So while it sucks, it has been a bad relationship with him for awhile, and maybe its good to walk away.  Hopefully it can be only temporary, but that will be on him.

On the bright side, I'm having a Pampered Chef party next month and have an order already.  And FH (who, b/c finding a job right now is pretty near impossible) is going to be selling Tupperware.  He's having a Death by Chocolate party to start in a few weeks, and has booked another party after that.  We could use some 'let him do well' vibes.  The woman he's under is very good (>100K a year) and she said she will do everything she can to help him succeed.

Ok, need to get back to work.  It seems like I am coming on here with a lot of drama lately.  Sorry about that :( .

Thanks guys!  No pics yet. I'll post those when we have the offer acceptance in writing as I don't want to jinx it - our house hunt has been full of strange paths lol.

Off to work - it is gorgeous today and I wish I had the day off so I'm running a bit behind already.

I have a ton of computer work to do so gave in and set up my laptop and accessories in the porch it is stunningly beautiful  - I mean PERFECT today.

I gave Bugsy a tramadol last night and as per usual he woke up full of life and the devil.  I decided to have a shortish leash walk which he quickly turned into a trot.  He hates slow.  Then he wouldn't come inside and was being a goofball in the yard so unsurprisingly he is limping a bit again.  LOL no so badly that he isn't closely monitoring the freshly filled bird feeders to keep the squirrels off.

Cher he would so love it if they came out into the yard they go back into the hedges outside his line.  Of course he has caught a few but he drops them when they screech so you are already more grown up than him.

Good job on the squirrel, Cher!  Not that I ever encouraged Bear to go after them, but it was pretty cool to watch him shift into hunting dog mode.  And he did get one, ate the whole thing, fur, tail, claws.  There was not a bit left, so it's not like he wasted it.  LOL

Does anyone know what to do with a corrected w-2? I already filed my taxes, and got my refund, and spent my refund. It's only $60 less than the first w-2 I got. Sheesh I hate taxes.

I'm not sure if they did or we just all assumed they did. Hopefully Jan will pop in sometime in the next few days with more pics and tell us.

Erin - Congrats on the new house. I hope the whole process goes smoothly and we can soon see pics.

Our temps dropped like a rock yesterday and last night and altho it's bright and sunny this morning, it's only 37 degrees. If I wasn't at work, I'd go take a bubble bath.

It seems like I am coming on here with a lot of drama lately.  Sorry about that :(

Here, I can add to the drama.  Last night, a friend asked me to marry him, and my pseudo nephew told me he just got out of a psych hospital he'd been in for 5 days after OD'ing on some Rx, & cutting himself up.  It was a very long night.  I don't particularly want to talk about it any more than that, because I have this weird sense of anger about it all. 

It's cold in here - warm enough outside that I almost didn't need a coat, but 64 inside my office.

Moose, I know you get in trouble sometimes, but clearly you're a special guy.  Glad Agnes had a better night.  Steph, I hope things work out w/your brother.  Deb, sorry about the girls - they will recover just in time for next year's visit, I suspect.  Congrats to Cher on her squirrel - we'd like to hire you to kill all the bastards around our house - you'll need to learn how to 8' climb fences, though, since they just run along the top like a race track and taunt all the dogs.  Henry has tried, but his twisted/busted leg prevents him from being successful - plus he's only about 18" at the whithers.

My cold is MUCH better today.  I was actually able to sleep through the night without coughing.  Woot!

And, man, this weather is sooooo nice.  Spring is on the way, baby!!
