I've been bragging about it elsewhere, I might as well brag about it, here. I gave Shadow another deer bone today. He enjoys it immensely and it keeps him busy and now, he's resting. It was, I believe, a hip bone. Meat, tendon, some cartilege, and crunchy bone.
I know I didn't used to feed him raw or RMBs but I have seen him eat a cotton rat, live, with no ill effects. And I have cleaned the yard and found shed rat remains, ala a coyote or wolf. So, he's been getting raw on his own when some hapless small critter makes the fatal mistake of wandering into our yard. I haven't seen a rat or "field mouse" all winter.
Now, I'm about to grill some rib-eyes with mesquite grilling wood. And I'm going to chunk some foil-wrapped 'taters down in there, too.
I've been catching up on the tribulations of Jackie, thanks to Callie, doggie angel of the year (just to give Glenda a break from the title. Besides, when Glenda moved to the south, she brought the frigid north with her.
