So I am Pregnant. Anyone else?

Last time, when I was having Will, I remember there was a whole bunch of us preggo at the same time.  This time I feel kinda alone!  Come on lovely lumpy bumpy ladies!  Where are you?!  Had a scan yet?  Pink?  Blue?  Share a pic?  How are you feeling?

My bump is... er... "yellow", I'm thoroughly looking forward to D-day (planning to birth at home in water) and this week's preggo woes include: ITCHING, leg cramps, insomnia and feeling far too big and ungainly for 6months... Feeling lots of movements in there (esp at 1am) but still very excited about the whole thing!

     Anyone?

Obviously I am way to old for Prego, lol!  My friend just had 2 granddaughters within the last 3 weeks!  I know there are those yucky moments during pregnancy but my hubby always said that our daughters and friends were most beautiful while they were pregnant.  So no matter how you feel or think you look, remember that everyone else sees a beautiful, glowing, woman!

Not just no but he!l no!  Bite your tongue!  My baby is 21 and I don't want to start all over again (not to mention it's tough to get pregnant when you aren't engaging in any activity that might result in that condition).

But I hope you feel better.  Like Ginger said, you are beautiful, even if you don't feel that way!

So I'm one of those who has never been able to carry to term ... so I'm completely envious in my own over-the-hill way.

I know you feel ungainly -- but Chuffy -- there is no better state ever than having a child you WANT and seeing all those changes happen day after day.

I would tell you to make a notebook -- jot down all those thots and yet all those feelings of "I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE THIS CHILD!!!" -- and then one day when little Throckmorten says "I feel like no one EVER cares about ME!!" you can hand him/her that book and say "Darling -- no child was ever as anticipated as you were!!"

Other women diet their lives away -- YOU are "ungainly" with a cause, my lady!!  Life grows in you!!!

Nope! And I'm not sorry either! You can keep your yellow bump, leg cramps, insomnia, itching etc. all to yourself lol

just kidding, really :) We are all hear for you even if we aren't preggers

I'm not (and this thread just reminded me I forgot my BC last night), but my SIL is.  She's having a boy in July.  They called earlier this week and left a hilarious message, "OMG, we just saw the tiniest penis EVER on the screen!"  She always said she didn't want kids, but her DH wants them and lost his job so he's going to be a stay at home dad.  Also my cousin had a baby girl, Ava, last week and I have two other cousins pregnant, one due this month (5th pregnancy, third viable baby).

My heartfelt good thoughts are with those who are not currently pregnant but wish to be.

One of my very close friends (and bridesmaids lol) is pregnant right now and due April 15.  She just found out yesterday that she is confirmed having a boy which will be named Aiden Asher *last name* and that she does not need to have a c-section, there were complications that had arisen and she was scheduled for a c-section on March 26, but that has been cancelled as the complications have corrected themselves :)

Her first baby shower is this Sunday, and the second one is next Saturday.  :)

*raises hand* I'm still pregnant! Three weeks ago I was dilated 1, two weeks ago I was at 2, last week I was 2.5, and this week... still 2.5 and thick. Crying I honestly never even thought that I hadn't progressed at all, so I was kind of in shock when he told me. I even teared up a bit on the way home because I was so surprised and sad. I though for sure he was going to say I was at least 3 and it would be happening very soon. It still could, of course, but I'm just not feeling it. I'm tired and I feel a lot of pressure, but other than that I feel pretty good.

My neighbor is, but I'm not :)  She is very fit and lean, so it is neat watching her belly change. My bumps were buried under some layers of chub :)

There will be no more little shammy's, dh had the snip snip and I had an endometrial ablation, so there is no more uterine lining for a babe to grow in.

Pregnancy was sooo exciting ! I shall live vicariously through you.

1 of DH's friends and his fiance are expecting literally any time now- actual due date was 3/4 and she's been having itty bitty contractions since yesterday.

Just the two of us then!  So you are overdue now?  You must be frazzled!  You can be dilated for weeks before you go into labour.  Or you can not be dilated or effaced at all and then go into labour within 24hrs.... a watched pot never biols!    The best way of judging when labour will start is to start a Project.  Guaranteed labour will begin at the most awkward during that project...!!! Big Smile

Yup, overdue. I was due March 2. I do get more contractions when I walk around a lot, but they always go away. I guess I don't know what I'm supposed to feel like, but I sure don't feel like I'm going to be going into labor soon. Weird!

Start a project. Hmmm. Sometimes it feels like a project just to get UP! lol. We do need to shovel all the heavy wet snow off the roof... but I think I'll let DH take care of that project. Wink

So you're 40wks+4 days?  I went to 40+5 with Will, I spent the week before he was born going swimming and going down the waterslide to give him a hint!  It wasn't the being pregnant I minded, it was all the "still in one piece then?"  "any news?"  "so baby's still not here yet?"  etc... that frazzled me!!  I've heard your second pregnancy is usually a bit shorter than your first, but don't know how true that is.  Have you tried eating rye bread? Smile
