When I'm paying for a service, and that person's technique, effort or personal attention "makes the difference" I always tip, and usually pretty darned well. I tip my groomer 20% or better.
Then again, she's awesome with Billy. He's happy and loves her, she does an awesome job (I've had the best compliments from others on how smooth it is) and often his skin has been super sore and she's wonderful with him -- we have to keep the coat short to help keep the skin clear.
My major beef lately has been after a new owner took over this place (it's not a 'chain') and she has a "tip jar" -- and wants you to just add your tip and they "split" it. No -- I want HER to get it. I tip better than average and it's not for someone else. But for HER.
