    My little weiner

Meet Harley - I brought him home as a foster yesterday.  He came into the shelter on Friday with his brother.  Long story short, family is re-locating, owner newly re-married, Harley's brother bit new stepson, so not only did Harley lose his home and human dad, he is separated from his brother due to bite incident.  He was so terrified in the shelter I couldn't leave him.  I'm sure he'll get adopted quickly.

Agnes is showing a bit of dominant type behavior, mostly following him around and making sure he is following the routine.  They are separated while I'm at work and both seem fine with it.

He's a good little dog, will make someone an awesome lap dog, I'm sure.

ETA: sorry about the double-pic.  Confused

Agnes:  make sure Harley knows that you are the Queen of the house !!!  Rock on, girl !!!

Deb, Agnes did not hesitate to let him know it's her house!  When he climbed on her bed, she was not happy.  I made him a little place in Bear's old crate - put the divider up, added a couple of pillows and an old flannel sheet, and he hopped right in there.  Then I covered him with an old t-shirt because he looked cold.

I'm not much of a lap-dog person - don't like the critters on my couch or bed.  I will concede and sit on the floor with them.  It's bad enough that Agnes, Moose the cat, and now Harley are each glued to my legs when I'm at home.  It's pretty dangerous for me to attempt to walk around sometimes!

He looks so sweet!  I'm glad he came home with you for awhile.  I'm sure it was impossible to leave him there if you saw the fright on his face.  I love little weiners.

Poor weiner.  Thanks so much for bringing him home with you, Tina.  I'm sure he'll flourish under your care & find a home that deserves him.

Tina, I just keep coming back to this thread.  He's just soo sweet looking!

Amanda, he is up for adoption and available now!  Devil

Seriously, he is very sweet, just needs some work on his nails and how to leave fingers on when taking treats.  I did not meet his quarantined brother, but I suspect Harley was the more submissive of the two.  He gave me a full stretch on his back at lunch and when I stopped rubbing his tummy, he started paddling his front legs, as if to say "don't stop"!  He alternates right now between shaking in fear and madly wagging his tail.  And I can see he's already very familiar with the refrigerator.

Aw, poor sweetie. I hope he finds a forever home soon. So kind of you to foster him.

Ahhhh...how sweet. He looks like a real sweetie to me and I'm so glad you were able to find a place in your home for him. I'm sure he and Agnes are conspiring right now on who makes a break for the frig first. ;)
