• magilacudy Posted : 5/27/2006 4:36:57 PM You could blend puppy food until it is powder than add evaporated milk. Enough so that it is very liquidy. If you put it on a spoon and it sticks or clumps off, it is too thick.   They can start this now if the mother is no longer feeding as much. As the weeks go by you make it less runny and a little more thick. Until the final week when you can take the food and just soak it in the milk. I talked to my landlord about it and she said that it was fine, just to watch and make sure they don't tear anything up. I bring them all outside for a couple hours each day. The puppies are starting to walk and they love walking around outside in the yard. • glenmar Posted : 5/28/2006 7:32:33 AM I'm glad to see this thread and glad to hear that the pups are doing well.   Momma should still be feeding them and I wouldn't start them on ANYthing else until 4 or 5 weeks.  THEN you want to powder the kibble in the blender, HEAT the bitches replacement (or Jaime's homemade recipe for such) and then add the powdered kibble so that it's gruel like....very soupy.  Jaime uses 1 can of evaporated milk, 1 raw egg and I *think* a tbsp of caro syrup...but I don't remember for sure and don't want to tell you wrong. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
