Can't say that I have.  In fact, not sure I've had Kraft mac n' cheese since I was a kid.  But I just might have to buy a box to try it out. Smile

My DH (from upstate NY, right on the St.Lawrence River, lots of friends from Canada) looooooves Kraft mac 'n cheese w/ a hotdog and ketchup!

I have never heard of milk in bags before.  How strange.

Boxed wine is, ummmmm, gross.  It is cheap though!

We make mac 'n cheese.  The premade stuff just doesn't cut it.

If I remember correctly, you can put the bags into the freezer can't you, or am I dreaming? Seems like I thought my parents did that and the bags were really handy to store. They really were handy as far as I was concerned and did take up less room.

Here, about the only ones who like the Kraft stuff in a box are kids and they'd be happy to live on it.  If you want some really good mac and cheese but don't want to make it, get pan of Stouffers out of the grocery store freezer.  It bakes in about an hour and it's really, really good ... just like homemade. You most likely won't want to add anything to it.

I.michelle, yep they sell boxes of wine in Ontario.  I don't drink wine, but I've seen them at friend's houses!

I would like to point out that Kraft Dinner is not mac n cheese.  I don't like either, but they are quite differerent from each other.  The only Kraft Dinner that I actually like a little bit, is not even the Kraft brand, it's our President's Choice brand white cheddar.  I can eat that stuff once a year or so!

Do you guys not have Ketchup chips either?  I seem to remember this from years ago, I think it was Ketchup and Dill Pickle you don't have??

This is probably the strangest discussion I have seen in a long time!  I have never heard of buying milk in bags before.  Here, you can get it in cartons (tetrapak or plastic) or bottles (glass or plastic).  The glass bottles have to be delivered.  The downside is that they ONLY deliver in the morning, and if you leave for work early, your milk either a) sits on your doorstep all day (not good in warm weather Ick! ) or b) gets drank by a drunk teen on their way home from a house party Super Angry

I have never tasted a decent wine that came out of a box.... soem of it is drinkable (just), but it's still just plonk.  Speaking of wines, I never thought I'd get used to the screw caps instead of the corks, but I kind of like it now.... If we get a bottle with a cork I feel a bit disappointed, because we have to make room in the door of the fridge, or re-cork it.... Screw caps are are handy in that they are more versatile.

We have all the chip flavors you can think of, now, LOL.

This is the most fascinating thing I've read all day! I never imagined that milk came in anything other than cartons or jugs. And its not like I am far from canada or have never traveled there!

Also, I have never heard of having to buy 2 gallons at once. Do stores in the US really do that?

And not having to put milk in the fridge? Yuck. My milk has to be very cold for me to enjoy it. When I grew up, my parents were constantly leaving the milk out and I hated it! Now I have this obsessive compulsive thing about always putting the milk away and it having to be cold for me to drink it. Thanks mom and dad!

When DH and I were in Greece a few years back for our honeymoon, milk was served warm. Ick!

The first morning we were at the hotel buffet and I got cereal and poured some milk over it, I took one bite and barely swallowed it.  It was warm and oh so gross!!  I ate very little breakfast after that.  Good thing their food is good...just not their breakfasts!

And btw, I too have never heard of milk in a bag.  You learn something new everyday!

I think the reason for hotdogs in it is just to make more of a meal out of it. If you like the kraft stuff, the really good stuff is velveeta shells and cheese. I have hotdogs, but now I wish I had some mac and cheese to eat them with. I can't get any though, because of the snowpocalypse.

No - nobody makes you buy 2 gallons of milk at once.  It's just cheaper to do it that way because you get a lower price per gallon than you do when you buy just one gallon at a time.  The trick is to check the expiration date and make sure you have a couple of weeks and not just 6 or 7 days. Super Target doesn't do that, and shortly after they opened the other grocery stores lowered their milk prices and at least one of them now gives the lower price on just one gallon. Gotta love that competition. Big Smile
