Happy birthday birthday people. It was also the birthday of one of my clients today. I have to say, I was so proud today. Two and a half years ago, when he was 6.5, he couldn't feed himself, and he sat in a highchair. We stripped the shirts off him when it was time to eat so it wouldn't get ruined. Today, on his 9th birthday, he ate his lunch, by himself, sitting in a regular chair in the kitchen with me beside him, wearing an off white sweater. He did not drop one crumb on that sweater. How many of us could eat wearing a white sweater and not get it dirty? Brand new especially. That would make it a double magnet for food to be dropped. It seems like small stuff to get choked up about to most people I'm sure, but if I didn't get choked up about these things, I wouldn't last in my job.
