i must say that we have  what they call are rare golden yorkies and my zoey looks JUST like your dog .
i would not be worried at all and if you are selling any males that are golden in color i would love to buy one .
i think they are beautiful dogs as there are not many out there .
My aunt has a yorkie that is NORMAl colors and told me that i must have been sold some mixed bread but i saw the mom and the dad and have papers saying she is a yorkie so i now she is one . also my vet says she is pure yorkie so I would not let any one put her down . you love her and that is all that matters
from what i can see from the pictures she is more of a redish or golden color not white .

Just a note, that the sale of pups or the offer to buy is not allowed on this forum.

As to the AKC.....this is merely a registry and only as good as the breeders who use it.  For example, when a breeder registers a litter there is the question of how many live pups and their sexes.  Those 'extra' registration certificates for pups who weren't born are worth a TON of money.  I was once offered $1000 if I would "expand" one of my cockers litter by two so that the other "breeder" could get AKC papers on HER pups.  Ummm, no.  But, since the AKC registers just about anything, including pups that come from millers and back yard breeders, well, it's not hard to figure that a good number of extra registration certificates are changing hands if I was approached.  We were REALLY small time, almost hobby breeders yet I was sought out.

And, Gina is right regarding the AKC DNA test.....it will only prove parentage, not breed.

Wrong colors pop up all the time in purebred breeding programs.

Wow, so many new posters with white yorkies!   [sm=devil.gif]

I've never heard of a white yorkie, even popping up now and then. I've certainly seen lighter colored yorkies, where the color is diluted (which is what the one poster's dog is..you can still see the faint blue and tan) but they aren't "white". If it was a truly white yorkie, my guess would be that something like a maltese was mixed in.

Yorkie's have Maltese in their background to make them smaller.  So, I wonder if a throw back is possible....???[8|]

I don't know how reputable this site is, but, they mention the Yorkie can vary in color including: black, white, tan, blue, fawn, and bronze.

Perhaps different areas allow different colors?  Beats me[:D] .
