Ohhhh, I want coffee. I have a Dunkin addiction.

I have a commercial Bunn coffee maker, and buy my beans directly from the Dunkin 40 miles away.  If it were further, I'd order online.  Am really into their dark roast.

Glenda, my house has new triple pane windows, and I feel the same way you do!  Plus, they were guaranteed to save $500 a yr, but I don't think they are.

My gas bill this month was really high.  Part of that is of course the funky furnace, but I'm thinking a good deal of it was from these not so perfect windows.

Gas heat in Florida high?!  LOL  Mine was high too, but it's been well below freezing and windy/drafty.  I also discovered a window that was not locked and had slid down about half a centimeter, of course in a room we never used so I didn't discover it until I was dusting the house.  Money out the window, literally!

Today is my first day back at work, and I'm already updating my resume, lol.  I actually found a job opening that is really interesting to me, but would either involve a commute or moving.  I decided to think about it over Christmas.  The offer is still there.  I guess there's no harm in applying.  I need more details on the job because the description is a bit vague/confusing and it will take a LOT to lure me away from my current job, but maybe if I get an interview I can ask for clarification without being a snob.

I had 300+ emails to sort thru this morning. Most of them are junk, but I still have to at least go thru the list so I don't delete important ones. My regular mailbox was stuffed full too. I don't think the mailman could've crammed one more thing in there and I had to fight just to get it all out.

Tina - I'm going to go read about Agnes, but I hope it's not as bad as it sounds and she's doing okay.

I went to bed a little after 9 and slept until 6, so I feel pretty good today. My boss is on the road, so that's a plus and gives me a chance to get caught up in peace and quiet.

800 mg of ibuprofen + 2 sudafed and my sinus headache is down to a dull thud.

    Work. bleh.

It is very pretty here this morning. There's very fluffy white powdery snow falling slowly. One of these days I'm going to have to shovel. I'm hoping for a thaw but based on the weather people, that isn't going to happen any time soon. There's not really enough snow to blow it though and I hate shoveling!

My first day back at work.  blaaah.

I'm running on about 2 hours' sleep today.  I don't know if I already posted in mindless chatter today... hmmmm

Blue skies here today!  It looks nice out my window!  Too bad weathernetwork tells me it's -12, but feels like -23 lol good thing I'm in today!

Derek and I have decided to eat healthy.  He wants to lose weight before the wedding (in 9 months eeep!) and although I really don't *need* to lose weight, I want to tone up a bit.  So he and I are on a healthy kick!  Let's hope it sticks!  I have left over perogies for lunch today, he has a cucumber sandwich lol.

And we are drinking this dietary supplement called Xenadrine.  It tastes funny, lol it's supposed to boost metabolism, which mines already pretty high, I can eat just about anything and not gain weight, but I just hope this one doesn't make me need to go to the bathroom all day! lol

ugh work.  I have a looong list and no motivation!  I'm going to power work for the next half hour before lunch and see how much I can get done within that time!

Umm, gas heat, yeah.  Electric would be outrageous unless we had a Geothermal furnace......and I don't see any propane tanks in yards down here.  So, yeah, gas for hot water and heat.

My gardens look soooo pathetic and naked with everything cut all the way back.  Looks better than it looked with everything freeze damaged but still.....

I must be on a pork kick.  Today I went to the library and post office, then stopped for a couple things at the grocery and came home with another big ham to bake.  This will be the third in about 6 weeks.....

Someone just opened fire in the courthouse building in Las Vegas that holds Senator Reid's office.  My fiance does protection for Senator Reid and is currently in Las Vegas.  He just called to let me know that he was ok, but, 1 federal agent, 1 US Marshall, and 1 security guard were shot....he is new to this team, but the other guys out there with him knew all 3 of the officers hit.  Even though I know my fiance is ok, all I can do is watch Fox News and cry.  I came so close to losing the love of my life 1 month before our wedding. Please keep the 3 officers hit in your thoughts.  I'm an absolute mess right now.

I had just gotten the CNN alert when I saw your post. I'm so sorry about those that were shot and I'm glad that your fiance is okay

Glenda, thanks for sharing those pics.  The baby is adorable and your sister looks amazing. Tina, good thoughts coming for Miss Agnes. Getting old is a b*tch, isn't it? I feel bad grumbling about a temp of 50, but it's so overcast and gloomy. It wouldn't feel so cold if the sun would just break through. I dashed to the gym earlier, but now I 'm stuck here for doG knows how long.  DS #1 decided to have his new phone (which of course has to be signed for) delivered here since he's not home during the day.  Sure!  I have nothing to do and no place to go so I can sit and wait all day for the FedEx dude to ring the doorbell. I suppose I could start taking the Christmas stuff down, but I don't feel like doing that right now.

sheesh maggiesmommy, I'm glad your fiance is ok!

Going to work today was probably the last thing I wanted to do, but I'm here. It's actually kind of nice out today, but I think the temperature is around the same as Lauren's.....supposed to be -23C with the windchill - it doesn't feel like that though.

We have to take Timmy back to the vet tonight. She was good and got him in tonight, which I appreciate. His rash is not going away, benedryl isn't doing anything for him, so I've quit giving it to him. The rash seems to have moved from his belly, to his chest, and now he has all these little scabs. I feel so bad for the little guy. I hope the vet can tell me what's wrong with him.

     Yikes - Maggiesmommy - scary!

Stacey - sounds like a staph infection of some sort...poor guy!

It's 30* outside.... Did I mention I live in FLORIDA?!

well it was the lens - camera is OK - breathing sigh of relief.  now I just have to decided whether to replace that kit lens (which is limited) or spend twice as much and get a longer range & better lens

My day seems to be pittering away with not much done - I have a ton more errands to do and right now they seem preferable to doing any real work LOL

Bugsy has missing fur on his tail and it looks like it is either infected or there is a sore there.  Hard to see his skin well enough to tell what is happening, he whacks his tail so hard against things it could be from that, sigh
