It's warm but wet here today. And I only know that from checking the weather network, since I've been on the couch pretty much all day. Have a totally random feel-like-crap day and I'm not really sure why. Hoping it is better by tomorrow or I'll be ticked that my weekend after the new year was ruined by not feeling well.

Oh well, we'll make the best of it by playing some Rock Band and working on the business plan a little more. All stuff I can do while laying down.

I have a new puppy. Go look in the photo section.

I'll be so glad when that idiot's term is finally up and he can go back to posing in the gym and making cheesy movies.

Amen!! I was still working for the state when he took office and I'm so thankful that I got out of there when I did.

Has anyone watched the movie District 9? We watched it yesterday and I was shocked at how horrible it was. I'd thought it looked really good based on the reviews and all. I honestly had to get up and go do stuff a few times because I thought I'd either get sick or scream in disgust. The older I get the less I want to waste time on stupid movies or books, so I'd have just turned it off but DH wanted to see if it ever got better. It didn't...ever.

A new puppy!  I'm not sure I could do it if I were you.  At least not yet, but we all deal in different ways, and lucky for this little lady, you found her instead of me right?  Good Luck.:)

what?? really?  I have to go watch it now.  FH downloaded it probably about a month ago, watched it and loved it.  He is generally pretty picky about movies too.  I thought the previews looked uninteresting, but he said the previews didn't really coincide with what it actually was about.  what didn't you like about it?  (don't worry about spoiling it for me, I've already been told most of the movie)

I'm also doing a wonderful job at putting off the housework.  Looks like I will have a busy day tomorrow.  hehehe.  oops.  Just seemed like more of a day to snuggle with a beagle and lots of blankets and watch silly tv shows.

I somehow have to get FH to make some decisions.  We have to get married this year and move.  We seem to be in agreement that we do not want to stay here, we would like to move.  New Zealand is just out of the question with the dogs.  British Columbia seems to be where we want to live.  FH just can't make up his mind where.  If we agree on Vancouver, great, looks like our wedding will be a nice simple .....oops we eloped and went to Costa Rica or Belize one.  We've both spent a lot of time in Vancouver and know the city fairly well.  If we choose somewhere else, we will use the honeymoon money to go and check it out before fully committing.   I like to plan though, and I would really appreciate knowing what we are doing so I can research, etc.  I also will have to get a wedding dress, even if we elope, I still want an adorable dress!

We're kind of sort of eloping in St Lucia, but, I'm with you on having the dress and big wedding feel...I'm still a bride, darnit! My favorite part was dress shopping, so get yourself THE dress...don't settle...and, though its cliche, you'll know the right dress...I didn't believe it until I tried on MY dress...my friend cried, my coordinator started jumping up and down, and 3 women I didn't know who were there to look for their own dresses said "yeah, that's your dress."  Not to mention, OUR WEDDING SONG was on the radio in the store when I tried it on...

I didnt wanna. But I just had to go see what the lady wanted fostering. And when I saw Zeeva in that cage all alone sitting there all perky and waiting for someone to play with I couldnt leave her there.

Apparently she was a Christmas present for a couple kids that of course ended with her being sent to the pound. So here she is!

I saw it. I was done with it 5 minutes in. But JJ insisted it would get better and so I watched it. Looked over at JJ and he was asleep halfway through it. Errrr. I was done halfway though so I finished watching it. It never did get better. Just worse I thought!

phew busy day - de-Christmasing and cleaning the aftermath, helping DH with the shrubs - yes he is still mutilating my landscaping - sigh.

I got a dog biscuit mix from a friend so I cooked those and am making a beef barley soup for dinner.

It is bitterly cold here and is going to be for days BUT very sunny.  It is also windy so that detracts from the sunny part but the sun still warms very well.

Jackie I have a picture of some yellow warbler that I should post for you to identify LOL - very cute whomever it is.

Thank you! I was pretty sure it wasn't just me. I watch a lot of movies that I'm not thrilled with just to spend time with DH but that was one that was too much.

Stacey - I'm dying to see what you think. For me, it was just too much grossness (?) and not really any part of the story was believable. I'm a huge fan of scary movies, including those with more than average gore, but it wasn't that kind of movie either.

I'm bored and thanks to a great big cup of tea, I have a bunch of energy. DH is taking a nap though, so I'm trying to be quiet.

The ham I'm baking already smells good and it's not even close to ready. In about an hour, I have to take it out, trim off the fat and then slather it with dijon mustard, then brown sugar, then a drizzle of honey and bake it some more. The recipe is supposed to mimic the flavor of Honey Baked hams, so we'll see if it's that good.

Wow!  The fabrics are beautiful!  I've always wanted to try quilting.

I'm off tomorrow...SO excited, I've only gotten 2-4 hours of sleep a night for the past five days, and stick a fork in me, I'm done! Stick out tongue

Dawn, I LOVE those colors!!! It's going to look awesome!

All of you Floridians are cold weather wimps! (I wish we had a mooning emoticon. It would fit here perfectly!)

Meg, were you implying that Glenda is old with your "Monday Club Card" comment? Surprise

I took Cher to tracking this morning, & she did a little rag work as well. She had a great time, & she's so happy to have a "job" so to speak. Then Bev & I dropped into an obedience class. It's so much different working him compared to working Cher. I love working him because he just KNOWS what I want from him long before I ask for it. It makes the training process so much easier!

DH is going to a bachelor party tonight. He's trying to figure out how to get out of it, but since he's the best man, I don't think that he can skip out.

Thank you ladies, I have this thing for fall colors, or warm colors so to speak.

Cakana, I don't think you need to have facebook to see the colors, try the link if it does not work let me know I will post it here.

Thank goodness for google! LOL   We scared off a little group of killdeers that are always in or near the ball park.  There is a huge water leak or spring or whatever at one side of the park.  Belle was chasing the birds and fell in and had to climb out of a two to three foot deep hole and a few minutes later Rex did the same thing.  They both thought it was great but we weren't as thrilled. I'll have to call and report it on Monday.  The dogs got a quickie bath when we got home, they smelled baaaaad. They needed bathing anyway and today was as warm as it will get for a while.   Twister stayed dry. :)

I'm off to figure out dinner.

Yep, I've got my Monday Card and made DS get a FRIDAY card to increase my discount days!

I categorically deny any responsibility for bringing cold weather to FL.
