Huge congratulations and if you were here, I'd give you a big hug. I know exactly how it feels to get that news and what a relief it is. When you get done making DH pay for not being there with you, I hope you'll all go out and celebrate.

 Thoughts for Tom and June first of all.

Amanda, you made me laugh, then laugh harder, then nearly burst into tears of relief, and I didn't even know we were worried about cancer cells...what an emotional rollercoaster!  I've completely forgotten what I wanted to say...

...oh ya.  I emailed Kale's biodad's GF today.  It had come to my attention that she didn't know about Kale, so I thought I'd best tell her.  She's a friend on FB so I used that venue.  I like her, she's a nice girl, and I hope she doesn't get totally hurt by this.  But she's been gushing over what a great guy he his and how much she loves him and this and that, and I thought she knew about Kale, so I was rather miffed.  But it turns out that she didn't.  She went to lunch with a mutual friend of ours and they got on the topic of guys with kids they don't take care of, and she said,"Well, thank God Ronnie doesn't have any kids!  I don't know what I would do if I found something like that out!"  and some other stuff about how she'd be annoyed that money was going out for Child Support of some kid they don't even get to see or something or other.  Anyway, the friend just kinda shoved her sandwich in her mouth in an effort not to say anything.  But she told me about it and so I've decided that she needs to know.  I mean for doG's sake!  Ron is 35 year old!  Kale is 10!  There comes a point in time, when you just have to grow up!  

Ok, so maybe FB wasn't exactly the way to go about it, but I have just had enough, ya know?

Just got out of the shower and I found Gaci playing with something. I didn't pay it any attention until I heard the crunching of something non-toy-like. Upon investigating I noticed she was chewing on a gift card that was in my work jacket pocket (I work in a freezer...lol....we wear jackets year-round!!). I went to find my jacket to find that someone *cough*Shimmer*cough* had expertly taken out all the contents of of my jacket pocket and laid them on the floor by the jacket (except the permanent dark-blue marker...thank doG). She's the only one who empties pockets, and not only that does it without leaving any sign of disturbance.....am I the only one with an expert pickpocket?? And then Gaci, angle that she is, only picked it up off the floor once Shimmer emptied the pockets.....the darn dogs are out to get me, I swear!!

BF is taking me to see Cavalia tomorrow night!!  Got the tix ordered a couple weeks ago, and I am sooooooo excited!

It just started raining little frozen white balls... not exactly snow, nor hail, but some odd sort of precipitation.  I kind of like it, if I wasn't sitting in here freezing.  I'm used to cold weather, shouldn't be surprised by it, but damn if it still isn't cold!

YAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYYA!!!

Mkay, so Carmax called me at lunch to tell me to come get my car. I finally made it over there by 5PM, drove away in my car, got a mile down the road - and it STILL made the same noise that I brought it in for!! WTF??? I went back in the lobby and the office guy took it for a ride with me - it made the noise before we left the parking lot. Apparently one tech diagnosed the problem on Friday, and ordered the parts. On Monday, that tech called out sick and the parts weren't there, so I went to get it today. First tech was still sick today, so a different (apparently very lazy) tech installed the parts and didn't bother to freaking ROAD TEST the car again. I'm glad that he bolted everything back together, at least.

I had already dropped the rental off, and they had to keep my car until the morning (since it's 5PM and all the techs are gone), so I got a loaner car. Uh, important life lesson here. ''Loaner car'' does not equal ''rental car''. Until Friday, I get to drive a 2005 Toyota Camry that smells like someone's grandma who chain-smoked and let a cat live in the backseat. Yay.

OK.  I think that I'm done for the day.  I believe I have the SS folks all straight, I have cookies baked, and a secret stash of cookie dough frozen for each variety, my stuff at the station is done......I think I deserve a nice glass  of wine now.  And maybe a bubble bath!
