Mindless Monday Chat

Maggiesmom, how did you like Geek Squad? I'm thinking about using them for...something top secret...don't want to say unless BF is trying to be sneaky :)

My car was supposed to be done today - they called me at 9 and said my service technician called in sick, and the parts still weren't in, so it wouldn't be done until tomorrow. Uh, it's at CARMAX. They have a huge service dept. No one could fill in for my guy?! I'm really not too upset, because I get to keep the rental car one more day - and I LOVE the rental car.

So now, instead of going to Sanford to pick up my car, I have nothing to do right now. I need to go grocery shopping, but I'm waiting until I can bring ''the wallet'' AKA BF so I don't have to buy this round. Actually, I have a bunch of stuff to do around the grocery store area, so I'm procrastinating until BF gets out of school.

I might go get myself some lunch and then tackle our bedroom closet - BF has a ton of clothes he doesn't wear that I want to take to Goodwill while he's not looking.

Meg, I've used them before & they did a great job.  I am sure that they can, easily, get all of that porn off your computer! Wink

Walmart is finally open 24 hours for Xmas.  Its nice to shop at midnight when nobody is there.  Even better at 4 am, when nobody is there and the shelves have been restocked from the night before.

Gee welcome to the "large urban area" --- my Wal-mart is always open 24 hours -- but        at mightnight and 4 a.m. is when all the crazies are there shopping - it's worse than Target two weeks before Christmas.  You still can't get a parking space even then -- it is NUTS.

My only real issue with them is that the one here doesn't really call to let you know its done....we had to call them, but, otherwise, they did a great job.

So, the dogs are so confused.  It's raining on top of the snow here, so the depression in the backyard has frozen into an ice rink.  They can't figure out why it's slippery!  It's so funny to watch them test it out!

I need to finish the Christmas cards and my last three scarves today...must happen!

And I'm so happy because the new prescriptions my doctor gave me are working!  My bronchitis shifted into early pneumonia last week, and I felt terrible.  But after a few days on new meds, I feel SO much better.  Much more in the holiday spirit! Smile

Hope everyone has a nice Monday!

Uhm, I felt like Amanda's MIL yesterday.  After dropping sister off at the airport, I decided to run to Best Buy and check out that Power Pad thing that charges all your cell phones, blackberrys, etc.  (By the way, it turns out that in addition to the pad, you have to buy a sleeve for each device to make it work on the pad - $90 for the pad, $35-$25 for each sleeve.... Hmm, not sure it's worth it.)  AAAnnyway, I punched in "Shopping points of interest nearby" into the truck's Navigation system, and it led me to Best Buy's distribution center.  Thankfully, an actual store wasn't that far away.

Remainder of repairs are being done at the house today.  I hate that I had to lock all three dogs into the big bedroom and bathroom, but they can't be loose with these guys around.  First because Gracie technically isn't on the lease, and second because one time they were working and I heard someone outside say "Hi big guy!"  That's when I realized someone left the back door open, which leads to the patio, which leads to the garage, which leads to the open yard and busy street in downtown Denver.

My training friends had their holiday party this weekend.  So sad that I am not with them in NH.  They're all doing great things, but it's just little ol' me in Denver.  Not much for training groups here, from what I've found.  One Working Dog group.  The Dobe Rescue here has not responded to my e-mail from two weeks ago, either.

That's great!!!  My trainer has H1N1, and now pneumonia and is on a ton of different things - inhalers, etc.  She does not do well when she is sick.

Your new siggie pic is adorably cute!!  That must have been fun to pose - they look made for Christmas-time. :D

I had a really good weekend.  Went to visit my BFF.  Had a family obligation for a few hours, too, which was awful as expected, but overall a good weekend.  We saw A Christmas Carol in 3-D on Saturday night.  It was amazing!!  3-D certainly has come a long way since I was a kid.

Karen, got a pic for you.  This is my little bro, from Saturday night.  He's still swooning over this, lol

Our temps are back up in the 50s and the sky is blue ... sort of.  I think it's going to be a nice day.  Candace, a couple of years ago DS #1 went with a friend to Wally at midnight on Christmas Eve (I guess they didn't have anything to do) and he said he was astounded at how packed it was.  Lawdy ... anything I didn't have done by midnight on Christmas Eve would have to wait for another year. Safeway and CVS here are both open 24 hrs. too and it's surprising how many people are cruising through the grocery/drug stores in the middle of the night.

OMG - someone needs to stop me from shopping. I went online to Old Navy to look at baby stuff and ended up buying myself a couple pairs of flannel pants. I didn't need them but I just couldn't resist the "sale" they were having. I have bought myself so many gifts this Christmas it's not even funny. Ugh!!

Earlier, I was panicked about someone being late for a meeting that I am doing over email. Turns out we had different days in our phones. In order to come back down from my panic, I got some amp (energy drink). I'm about two steps from being asleep. If I were to put the blankets on top of myself, that would be it.

Gol, talk about a gluten for punishment.  Took me 45 (and over $100) to get my packages mailed out for family this morning.  However, that's done and out of the way, our cards are all mailed, I bought some baking supplies, so lifes good for now!  I'm starting to feel caught up!

Now off to clean up the mountains of dog fur all over the house.......

Dammit Cathy, please don't mention that Old Navy has a sale going on!!!  I had to look, & didn't have the self control not to buy.  Flannel pants, & camis....

Thanks!!  It was interesting trying to get the AKK to pose instead of pull the sled. Smile  Nike was SO patient.
