Tina, I'm sorry to hear about your Grandpa Green. I liked your story about Agnes though - what a cutie.
:)
Jackie, I hope Twister is OK.
Karen - ugh what a drag! I would have been screaming too.
I'm still annoyed at something that happened last week at work...well not to do with work, just while I was here. I work right downtown, and although it's a small town, downtown is packed with traffic always from 8-6. My co-workers were outside smoking and came in and said they saw this little white dog running around a neighbouring parking lot with no person there. I decided not to question why they didn't see if they could catch the dog, instead just asked where it went and then I went outside looking for it with my other co-worker - we have an office dog here, so we grabbed her leash and some treats and went to find this little dog. Who the heck lets a dog out off leash in such a busy area??? We found it without too much trouble a couple of parking lots over, a man was following it, trying to catch it, but instead was just scaring her. I said I'd try to get her and he left. She started coming over towards me as I crouched down calling to her, and the last 10 feet she turned and went to the back of this building just as two ladies came out. We asked if this was their dog, they said yes, and laughing said "oh we forgot about her out here, hahaha" I said " it's a pretty busy area, she should be on a leash" they replied with "she's out here all the time though, she knows the area" - we have NEVER seen her outside. I petted her a bit and asked her name so I'd know to call her if I saw her again - but didn't say much else. I wish I wasn't so terrible at confrontations. That dog could have been easily run over, and they weren't the least bit concerned. She seemed like a sweet little girl, she looked to be a tiny poodle?
On a happier note, Timmy's visit to the vet went well - he got his triannual rabies shot and the vet said his rash was probably food related as well and to keep doing what we were doing, it should go away in a few weeks. He was quite the charmer at the vet too, he kept trying to sneak in kisses, and succeeded a few times. heheh. He doesn't go to the vet often, so I'm always wary of how he will be having them handle him, etc. He was great! He let her look at all his teeth no problem, check his ears, etc.....but when it came to taking his temperature - he drew the line there. He firmly covered his bum with his "nub" then sat down and tried to kiss her again, but there was no way he was moving his butt. She couldn't help but laugh at him, which was good, because neither could we. She ended up not trying to take it, it wasn't that important and proceeded to give him a few liver treats.
