Mindless chatter thurs

8PM for me.  Ready to light up.

I'm sending DH for his H1N1 vaccine today.  Heart stents and diabetis should qualify him as "special health concerns"

Well, I'm disappointed...this is the third weekend of having to cancel a visit from my daughter and family in 6 weeks.  The first two times it was the baby who was sick, and now my daughter has that goopy eye thing that everyone here seems to be talking about.  She wanted to come anyway, but I called the shots...her Hubby still needs to get it!  Maybe I'll see them next Spring sometime...the first year of daycare takes it's toll...

Why is it that I can find a shower curtain that I just love, but there are no matching window valances?  And it really does have to match...

My candle is lit for Brutus...a little early doesn't hurt anything!  Prayers for a rally...

Alrighty, candle light vigil will start at:

     9pm Eastern, 8pm Central, 7pm Mountain, 6pm Pacific

Totally cool if you already started... you're warming up the crew. :)  Brutus, tonight there will be lights around the country glowing for you, big guy.

(I'm going to copy this over in the thread, so it's known there, as well.)

Nice Big Smile - I will definitely have candles burning in my house at 6 tonight and I'll be thinking good thoughts for him and his humans.

Same here.  In fact, I think I'll start a couple now just so I don't forget. And no, I don't think 9:00 p.m. is too late to be lighting candles. Big Smile About three months ago it wasn't even totally dark yet at 9 p.m.

I know and now it's getting dark when I leave at 5 and totally dark by the time I get home. The first night after the time changed, I was driving home and reached an area where there was no traffic or businesses around. I thought "hmmm, it doesn't look like my headlights are on". I played with the controls and all I could seem to do was flash my brights and that didn't seem wise. There was no where to pull over, so I just drove really carefully until I got home and once I was in the garage and had light to see, I figured out how to turn my lights on Embarrassed. They go off automatically when I leave the car, so I'm leaving them on all the time now.

Now that is a cool feature.  Mine just go on when I turn the engine on but if I want the tail lights I have to turn them on manually.  If I try to leave them on when I get out of the car I get the "beep beep beep ... turn off your lights, Dummy" signal.

I'll be sure to light a candle.

This has been a slow week, and I'll be glad to see Friday afternoon.  I hope to get my last few boxes empty this weekend, and some more curtain rods up.  We're supposed to see some sun again around here, so that will be terrific.

Candle light here as well.  It's dark by 5 which stinks, and by 8  I could well be a zombie.

No warning, notice to anyone, radio stations, etc, and they cancelled tonights swine flu vaccines.  Call me pissed.  We drove all over looking for the danged health department, check half a zillion doors and found the sign.  Now I've gotta strong arm the man again on Saturday.

Get home and go to put dinner on the table and darned if the cheesy scalloped taters, after THREE hours in the oven, still aren't totally done.  What the heck?  So, they are getting some time in the microwave so we can eat while I'm still awake.

    Sigh.

Will have my candle lite here as well.

Oh!  I'll light a candle too.

I'm glad you like your new sig Lisa!

Crusher went for a run on his own today.  What a big boy!  LOL Ok so it wasnt' that great.  He has apparently learned to open the door from the inside and has made a breech in the dog run, so its a good thing I'm off tomorrow so I can fix it.  I also have to put a dead bolt on my door since just turning it from the inside unlocks it anyway.  When I got home he was tied up at my nieghbors, but I was carrying in groceries and they were leaving so I didn't get a chance to ask what the story is.  I think they just pulled up though, so I'm gonna go see.

My Jack Frost scented Yankee Candle is lit for Brutus!

Well Willa apparently made up for yesterday's short nap. Today she napped for 2.5 hours! And she was in bed by her usual 8:00. Which means I should have plenty of time to work on the things I should be working on...

I've got a Glade Scented candle lit for Brutus.  Smells pretty.

So apparently Crusher got out around 11 this morning.  How nice!  That's only about an hour after I leave for work.  My neighbor tried putting him back in 3 times, and he kept showing back up at her place.  So she just tied him up there and he stood guard of her house all day.  He must have tired himself out well enough cause she tied him to the same thing that she ties her little dog up to, and he stayed there.  Had he wanted to he could have pulled her whole deck down!  But they had a nice bonding session together and her daughter asked if they could get a dog like Crusher when their little Lady passes on.  Lady is like 14 or something and has some pretty good health issues, plus she's nearly blind and deaf and I doubt she's got many years left in her, though she may surprise everyone yet.  Ah well, at least Crusher behaved himself and was a gentleman.  The Beastette got a solo run tonight.  She's beside herself now, and is trying her best to settle down.
