It's Monday - where's the moanin'?

Karen - if you must get Bugsy to poop and he won't do it, try matching him.  Wet the sulfur end of a matchstick, insert it into his rectum (gently, just a little bit of the sulfur part) and it's almost magic.

Is there a limit to how many times a week you can do this to a dog??  I've wasted hours upon hours finding just the right spot.  Willow has to have not only privacy and just the right spot.  But, the moon and stars have to be aligned properly. . .  It's a pain in the you know what!!

I have a fever... nothing really high, just 100.8, but seriously. I was supposed to have a meeting tomorrow that was already rescheduled once. I was totally fine earlier. I washed and vacuumed my car, and I even climbed up on top and did the convertible top cleaner (it's a wrangler). Then all of a sudden, I was pretty sure I was gonna freeze to death. I took a nap, I felt better, went to work, but was going downhill the entire time. So, I stopped in the supermarket for a thermometer. Hopefully a night of drug induced sleep will clear things up, and I don't have any sort of flu.

HAHA. I don't LOOK at it - I'm just tired of listening to it! Esp. when they let it out at 7AM on my day off... If they would stay outside with her - she wouldn't bark... but I guess they enjoy having their neighbors suffer more...sometimes I really wonder why people would get such a dog... I've fostered a few beagles, and I NEVER left them outside alone- for the fear they'd bark and annoy the neighbors... grrr.

hehehe.  I understand.  I'm glad I live in the country, but I still have neighbours, who work shift work, so I'm pretty careful about leaving Sadie outside.  She gets brought right in if she starts barking....well generally before that, unless it's really nice out and I'm home, then I try to let them laze around outside in the fresh air.

Tina, do you know what dosage of Lasix Agnes is on?  She also might need an adjustment in her dosage.  Just an idea.  Anyway, I think a vet visit is important.

Yes, it is 12.5mg twice daily.  I'm waiting on a call-back from the vet.

That's how much TIKI takes! Tik's only 15-16 lbs, too. She takes furosemide and theophilline as well. I probably mis-spelled both of those, but, it's late. I would guess Tiki's situation must be different than Agnes'...when we did x-rays Tiki had some fluid in her lungs and her heart was enlarged as well. Her 2nd ECG showed another condition in addition to the congestive heart failure.

Some dog foods have a higher 'salt content' than others - you generally have to email the company and ask. I researched all this back in August when we got Tiki, but I seem to have forgotten. Usually senior formulas have less sodium = less fluid retention in general = less coughing/congestion. Science Diet makes a food specifically for heart conditions...Tiki is so picky sometimes though I didn't bother to try it yet.

Sorry to go dog-related there, LOL.

I am pooped...and I'm in the back pain club. Unfortunately I don't have insurance, so no Dr. for me unless I'm practically dead. Ibuprofin or tylenol haven't been able to touch it, sigh.

I went out to get some tea and chicken soup, and some medicine that will hopefully knock me out sometime soon. I didn't like the tea we had here, and I don't like the shape of the noodles we have chicken noodle soup in.

I'm thinking maybe I should go to the doctor tomorrow so they can see whether I have the flu or just a cold. If I do have the flu, and not the swine, I am really going to regret not sucking up my fear and getting the stupid flu shot. If I don't have the flu, I need to suck up my fear and get the stupid thing.

Tina, we had Brutus on Vetmedin throughout heartworm treatment because he had odd complications.  He did great on it, & the difference that it made for him was almost immediate.  Fingers crossed that Agnes responds just as quickly.

Meg, I hope that your back improves quickly.

DH, the kids, & the dogs are home.  I'm so happy to have them all back.

Amanda, am I looking at your sig right? Do you really have 7 dogs (well, I knew all the dogs) but only 1 lonely cat? Poor cat. Glad your kids and DH are home.

My back didn't start hurting until I went for an impromptu run Saturday. I had to hold my car keys in my hand, but then my 1 hand would swing funny, so I think it threw all my steps off. But, thanks :)

Yep, there's only one cat.  He is DH's & he is a complete & total a$$hole.  (That's most of the reason that I love him!)  He pushes the dogs around, takes their toys, & generally runs the house. (with Shooter's permission, of course!)

Are you stretching to get things worked out?  If not, you probably need to be.

A total boo on Coridicin night time cold and flu. Obviously, I am still awake, but I am also somewhat delirious. I definitely almost fell down the stairs several times when I just took Luke out.

Aesop didn't finish breakfast this morning, so now he has the empty stomach pukes. I gave him a piece of cheese, but don't want to give him his dinner until his stomach settles. He also got puke up his nose, so is being extremely pitiful and pouty.
