Not much happening here today. I didn't really work this morning, cause the kid never got out of bed. Still getting paid though. I washed and vaccuumed the car. The outside looks like I did nothing, the inside looks quite nice though. Now I need to take all the stuff I took out of it for Saturday and put it back in. I also need to do the armor all, window stuff, roof cleaner, and all that fun. Figure I should though before it gets too cold. My assignment is mostly done, but I like to hang on to it for a few hours before I send it in since I typically forget something.  Sometimes, I remember before I send it over, and other times, I don't remember till I'm driving to meet with my mentor. It's a long drive, so I have lots of time to remember things. Other times, I complete forget, she points it out to me, and I feel like a dope because it's something pretty simple.

Other than that, Luke is going nutso squeaking the crap out of a toy. It's sorta cute, but pretty annoying after the 50th squeak, which reminds me, I need to call and schedule him in a class, and I need to book him in the kennel for March.

Tina, is Agnus on any other heart meds? I've got a few dogs with chronic heart problems...they seem to do better with lasix and something else.

Erica, she is also on Enalapril.

     OK here is my moaning!

DH is still in the UK.

A few weeks ago I did something to my neck or shoulder and the pain is intense, 24/7.  I went to the doc last week and said I can't do much now so give me some pain relief and muscle relaxants.  They help but don't completely take the pain away.  I fear what I have done.

Add to this that I am here single handedly trying to help Bugsy after his TPLO.  He is doing really well BUT this means he wants to go out and wander getting him up the ramp to come back in is very difficult because he wants to jump over it. Super Angry  He also refuses to poop or pee without a good sniff around the yard.  He isn't suppose to be doing any real walking but clearly he isn't getting that message.  He is so stubborn that last night we spent an hour in the pen I made outside where he just stood looking at me and then laid down and stared at me.  I eventually let him walk to the front and he immediately pooped and peed.

I have a call into the surgeon to find out if it is OK that he is walking so much (over 150 yds at a time) They say that he can start walking 50yds at a time after the staples come out.  I'm curious as to what the surgeon will say.

If your dog needs a TPLO make sure it is a small dog that you can pick up and carry to where you want it to be.  Not a 105lb mule who when his nose engages completely forgets he is a physical mess, so he wanders around the yard doing his normal scoping out of who has visited.

    hows that for moaning??

It is a pretty day though Tongue Tied

Karen - if you must get Bugsy to poop and he won't do it, try matching him.  Wet the sulfur end of a matchstick, insert it into his rectum (gently, just a little bit of the sulfur part) and it's almost magic.  lol  Kindy (my trainer's dog) refused to go poop for 3 days when we traveled to NYC for the Today Show.  Our biggest fear was that she would do it on national television, so her owner matched her as a last resort, and, bingo!  A minute later we had cheers of congratulations.

Guy from work asked if I want to do drinks before the game tonight... yay for me!

Ha!  Try three Shelties next door if you want to hear some non stop barking for fifteen years.  I was never so glad to see some great neighbors move.  I miss the people but not their dogs. lol

Karen, I know show people who do the match trick but I've never tried it on any of my dogs.  I have a scary mental picture of trying that on Bugsy. lol

Tina, Maghee is on Enalapril, Lasix & Vetmedin.  She's doing wonderfully now.  I finally switched her over to raw &, wow, what was I waiting for?  That made a HUGE difference.  I was feeding her Wellness Core (the fish one).  I'm convinced that there is sodium in the Core that they were not telling me about.  Anyway, once I switched her to raw she became a different & HAPPY dog.  You also might want to try Co-Q-10.  Both my regular Vet & holistic vet recommend it for Maghs.  Please give Agnes some rubbies from me.

Oh man, my memory is for kaka lately.  I'll just say, good vibes to those who need them, ((HUGS)) to anyone who wants them.

Yesterday I was taking the window a/c out of the bedroom window & discovered something that made my stomach flop......MAJOR wood rot in the window frame & quite possibly down the outside wall.  I am totally sick about it.  We had been considering new windows before.  Now it's not an option.  We need at least ONE new window.  Who knows how the other windos frames are.

I went back to the doc today.....they have put me off of work until Thursday. Ack...I have never had this much time off at once. But......I am feverish today, and have developed a stuffy nose......on top of whatever else is wrong, nobody will "truly" confirm anything, but I'm wondering if I got a flu on top of whatever I started with. I don't know, but I've lacked enough sleep now that I have shed tears openly in front of my boss and at the shelter. Thankfully they are kind, empathetic folks and they realize that 3 hours of sleep per day for almost a week will wear on anybody.

Aspen is heading back to the shelter to find adopters. With me being ill and exhausted, and with problems getting commitment from callers who are interested, it's been a hard job but we've both agreed that he'll likely find a home a lot quicker by being seen in the shelter as it is super busy this time of year. I'll miss the fella though, he's definitely made a mark on my heart. But I'm happy with the progress he's made and I'm sure he'll make a wonderful family member for somebody very soon. I'll be keeping tabs on him and going in to spend some extra time with him when I can, so that he doesn't face too much of a culture shock.

Have to go tend to the dogs at the boarding kennel tonight....thankfully BF has said he will come with me to help me with the work so that I don't have to handle it all, which makes me relieved. He's been so great this last week to try and take care of me, I really don't know what I'd do without him.

Karen, I used to match Bev before trials.  He thinks that pooping should be done in private & out of sight, so it was easier to not give him any option but to poop.

I have no idea why, but for some reason cleaning the jammed strips of paper out of the shredder in my office just may be the most fun thing I do at work today. Confused

I went shopping Saturday with a friend for baby shower gifts for another friend of ours.  We were so excited about what we bought (we went in together on it so we could get her one really nice gift).  Then I was at the mom-to-be's house on Saturday evening.  She was showing me the nursery, and dang if she didn't have exactly what we'd just bought her!!  She registered for this item...then went and bought it herself!  So I was frantically texting my other friend, who had the items at her house to wrap, and she's going to go exchange it after work today.  But really...moms, please don't register for something, then go buy it yourself and not remove it from the registry, mkay?  I'm just glad I saw it before we actually gave it to her..I'd have been so embarrassed. Surprise

Annie, I appreciate the info.  I do have her on Co-Q-10, Taurine, L-Carnitine, Balance It canine vitamin, fish oil, and I home-cook for her.  Am following mostly the heart patient guidelines in 4 Paws 5 Directions.  She barely has any teeth and what she has are broken, so she's been on soft from day 1 at my house.  The only treats she gets are homemade liver treats, and I don't salt anything.  I don't even salt my own food.

Rubbies to be delivered after work!

I'm cold.  I've been cold all day, and no snide remarks please from you guys on the east coast because I think 57 is cold. Brrr.  I'm going to open a can of Progresso Italian tomato soup in a little bit. There has a been a flock of wild turkeys wandering around the neighborhood for about a week and I have no idea where they came from.  They walk close to the houses, and waddle from one yard to the next across the lawns and driveways, leaving large piles of turkey poop behind them.  Between the turkeys and the dang squirrels, the poor dogs are gonna need therapy.
