    M.C. Thurzday

    Here we are again.

Amanda, I am sorry to read that Bevo is having some trouble with his knee.  I hope some rest helps him.  I have no doubt that he is very loveable despite everything that is "wrong" with him.

Thank you everyone for the scritches for Agnes.  She is still weak.  We walked a bit last night, but she was pooped by about a half block from the house (of the 2 blocks we went), so I picked her up and carried her home.  Last time I did this, a lady stopped and asked if she was okay and if we needed a ride home, which I thought was really nice.  We were only across the street from my house, so I declined, but thanked her.  That day Agnes and I had only gone about a block.  It's not that she is suffering, but she is struggling sometimes.

Annie, glad the cast is off!  You must show us your "special" shoe!

Paige, I'm sorry for your friend's loss of Sticky the Dobe.

I'm buried under a mountain of work, so I'd better get busy.

ETA: Jackie, how did your eye appt. go?  Deb, did the vodka survive?  Cathy, what's the countdown to Maui?  5 days?

Poor Agnes. Have you guys had a drastic weather shift lately? Down here the weather's been a little spastic - maybe sudden climate shift is making her feel worse than usual?

Annie, glad the cast is off. I hope Maghee feels tons better.

Amanda, sorry about Bevo :( I hope the R&R isn't too stressful for you guys. Maybe you can set him up for a phone call with Bugsy so they can bitch to each other.

I'm off to hang out with BF's mom again - she told me not to come but she has a huuuuuuge house and would be alone all day. She doesn't even have a fiberglass cast yet, and she's on mountains of percocet. Yeah, I don't think so, she needs a "spotter"!

We finally got the appraisal back and it didn't list any additional needed repairs, so we're good there.  There was only a few things that came up on the inspection.  There is an outlet in the kitchen that has 'reversed polarity' and a live knob and tube thing in the attic which needs a junction box.  I've been told by a few different people that those things are very easy.  The other thing was that the peak in the roof needs sealing and the metal roof over the bathroom needs to be re-coated, or something like that.  BF knows a roofer and he said a few hundred dollars should take care of that.  He's coming out today to give an estimate.  Then we have to wait and see if the seller agrees to our reply.

    I hate waiting.  lol

BF is helping a friend out at his pizza shop and he works tonight.  So he said he'd come meet me for lunch :o)  Is it 12 yet?

Courtney, we've had a bit of a shift - 70s to 40s, then a couple days of 60s, and now we're looking at 40s again for a few days.  And rain.  I don't know if it is the weather or just the damage the heartworms have done.

    Steph's gettin' a nooner....Wink

Kisses from Auntie Deb going out to the Bev, Agnes and Maghee.  I hope all you guys feel better soon.

Lunch yesterday was very nice.  The food was delish and the drinks were flowing.  My kind of party !!!

Don't I wish!  But nooner + small town + silver car w/o tinted windows = not a good idea Embarrassed

That's a matter of opinion, Steph.  Personally, I've got no issue with non-tinted windows.  Just keep in mind that the whole town is watching, so you had better put on a good show!

It was raining this morning, so no morning run for us!  Since Bev thinks that rain is evil, this made for an easy "limited activity" morning.  Maybe it will rain for the next four weeks.....

Amanda. careful what you wish for. ~L~  You might just get 4 weeks of rain.

Steph, I'm crossing what I can for you.  I so hope that the sellers like your offer.  Waiting is nerve wracking.

Tina, I know that change in weather/temps has an effect on Maghee.  Today she's doing nicely.  It's in the mid 50's and rising.  We have a window open in the house & she's content.  Give Agnes some kisses & rubbies from me.

Do I have to work today? I DON'T WANT TO!!! Crying (i tired)

Amanda what's up with Bevo? So sorry.  I have knee experience and hip experience in dogs so I know all about rehabs. Not fun, but you can do it.

I just feel blah today. Not sure if I might not be getting a bug? Sigh!

Oh well on a happy note IT'S TEDDI'S THIRD BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!!! Happy birthday to the Teddster! Party!!!

Jackie, how did your eye appt. go?

Thanks for asking, Tina.  All is good with my peepers. :)

Haven't had time to read every post but noticed Bevo has to rest his hurt knee.  Sending heal fast vibes for your boy, Amanda.  Steph, hope the house saga continues to a good conclusion.

    Happy Birthday Teddi!! Cake

Sending get well vibes to Bevo, Agnes, and Maghee.

I am so pumped about this weekend.  My brother and SIL are coming in for a visit.  SIL is actually flying in tonight, since she had to be at a conference in Cleveland today, she just made her return flight to come here instead of back to Raleigh.  Little bro is driving down tomorrow.

So SIL and I have a fun day planned for tomorrow (I'm taking tomorrow off work).  She and I will take the boys on their morning walk, then go shopping in historic Norcross (cute little shops there!), have lunch, then get mani pedis.  Tomorrow night we're all going to a Thursday concert.

Saturday we're scheduled to hit the GA Aquarium, the H&M store at Atlantic Station (SIL said we have to go since we have one here in ATL, lol!), and then off to a Thrashers hockey game Saturday night where our company has gotten a skybox.  It is gonna be so much fun, and I cannot wait!!

Yay Teddi. She deserves a big doggy cake considering all she has been through in her short life. And you too!

Sending get well vibes to Bevo, Agnes, and Maghee

    Ditto!

Nooners, *sigh*. It's been way too long. But that's another thread!

I took Abbie to our first CU class last night. It was awesome. It is starting out as only 4 weeks because it is an experimental type class. I have a feeling we will continue based on the feedback from last night's class though. Everyone loved it, including the trainers. i hope it keeps going until all of the dogs and handlers have met their goals. I think everyone feels pretty challenged in a good way - which is great imo!

Tonight I am getting my field certification test for SAR. Send me passing vibes please :) I am going to take a few mins today to review everything. I have someone that I like and look up to giving me the test so I hope that helps. I'm going to take Neiko tonight too and test him out on wilderness air scent. So, send me good passing vibes for him too! He's such a good worker, but he is more of a visual dog than a scenting dog so we'll see. The one thing he has going for him is that he LOVES people and he LOVES training/learning and working - especially when I'm involved. He's an amazing dog (of course I'm biased). Wish us luck!!! i'm very nervous!

P,.S. I'm loving our weather this week. Mid-high 60s. Beautiful fall colors. Perfect!

    • Gold Top Dog

Great weather here too. Mid-high 70s and the fall tree colors are amazing.

    Happy Birthday to Teddi!!

I'm still thinking good thoughts for all the puppers that need them and for Amanda too. She's going to have some good stories about trying to keep Bevo quiet for 4 weeks.

My boss is golfing today, so it should be nice and quiet here. I have a hair appt at noon too, so that'll take a chunk out of the day.

I could really go for a breakfast burrito and some of the potato thingys from Jack 'n the Box but I'm too lazy to drive over there.

Jackie - glad your peepers are okay. Eyesight seems to be one of those things we take for granted until we have problems.

    Happy Birthday, Teddi!!!!!!!!!

Is it time to go home yet?
