Do you walk your dog before going to work?

The two dogs that stay at home during the day both do 30 minutes of treadmill before we leave.  We go for a real walk when we get home but the morning run takes the edge off!  My dogs stay home in our backyard and this helps keep them from re-potting plants and picking lemons from the trees. LOL  The terrier can't be left at home in the yard for reasons too numerous to mention but the main one being that he is a terrier! 

M&M get, at bare minimum, a 20 walk but they usually get to go to the off leash park.  Morrison gets cold easily and it's better for him to run than to walk or trot with me.  We are usually there for about 30 minutes and I walk 1 mile, Monroe walks/trots with me and Morrison runs around like a maniac.

Then we go home, get breakfast and get ready for work.  By the time I'm out of the shower both of them have curled up and gone back to sleep.  I'm pretty jealous of them most mornings.

Bella & Akyra either get a jog on the bicycle or jog with me - for about 20-30 minutes.

Sheba gets her walks on either my lunch break or right after work.

Absolutely.....NOT!!! 

I get up a 5AM to get out the door by 6, I do not have time. I can't get up any earlier or I would be non functional. 

We do have a large back yard and the doggies get to go out 2-3 times in the AM while I am getting ready for work. DH lets them out for their first morning pit stop, then of course they want right in for breakfast. After breakfast they go out again and stay out as long as they want, but usually the go do their stuff and want to come in and be with us. We put them out one more time and usually DH goes out with them to make sure they "leave the porch" and have had every opportunity to do doggy duties. Then it is troll tolls and off we go to work. We are out the door by 6:15AM.

I work for the family business -- my boss is my dad.  There are perks to working for the family.

Hehe, yupp! Also perks to working for yourself. I want to start a bakery - but I think they 'law' says No Dog's in any place serving food.....I'll have to check into it. If not - it's going to be a doggie bakery! Or barkery. Hehe. My lame jokes.

 Nope, never have. I'm not a morning person. We've always had a fenced yard. It half kills me to drag myself out to potty them, at dog shows, when I haven't had a cup of coffee, yet. They can't just be popped into an ex pen, to pee. They'll jump it and go adventuring! LOL

They do come to work with me, most days, and get a ton of exersize, after work. I'm a groomer, they're welcome in the shop.

I think a people/dog bakery is a great idea.  I think there should be more restaurants and such where you can take your dog, at least to eat outside.  There are none around here.

 Anyway, I work from home so my dog gets more of a midday walk.  I'm not a morning person.  But he'll start stealing stuff and running around the house with it if I wait too long to take him out. 

Only if I don't have to be to work until later - like 10. I am SO not a morning person... I get up about 15 minutes before I have to leave.... all walks are done AFTER work, when I'm more awake =]

I wake up, the dogs go out back, and come in when it's time for me to leave. Thankfully, my dog is not a morning lover either.... we both have to drag eachother out of bed....

My schedule is so random, though, it's hard to say...

 I get up at 6 so I have time to get myself ready and get the dog exercised.  Neither of us is really a morning person.  I have had a "sunrise simulation" alarm clock for years.  It REALLY helps during the cold dark winter to get my butt outta bed.  I have this one. http://www.catalogclearance.com/products/digitalsunriseclock__dawnsimulators.html

Late spring to early fall, we usually go for a 30 min walk with 10-15 min of ball kicking in the yard.  Now that it is cold and dark....15-25 min of ball kicking.  I'm sure that as soon as I leave he's back in bed.

My lazy bones dog stays in bed while I shower and dress and won't come down till he hears the toaster ding!  He shares some of my toast everyday, then eats his food, then goes outside to do his business and leaps back into bed.  I tuck him in, kiss him bye bye, tell him to be good and leave for four hours to work.  When I come back he is still under the covers and yawns, stretches and finally comes down to eat lunch and say hello.  We spend an one to two hours in the afternoon hiking and playing in the dog park.  Everyday, rain or snow or whatever mother natures give us.  He sleeps till his dog park time basically.  I was worried that he sleeps too much but I guess I am lucky he loves to snuggle in bed.

 I do, but I probably would get up extra early to walk anyway. Jessie's a great walking partner though.

I'm starting to walk Sam tomarrow morning - actually, jog/run him. He needs it. If I could - I'd take him to the park too....

Yes, 20 min in the morning, 20-25 right when I get home from work, and then another 10 before bed. Twenty was never enough for my previous dog, but both of my dogs have disabilities and 20 works for them. Whew!
