I don't feel confident at the momment, I feel like I let Pudding down

You certainly did NOT let her down!!  You found her a home and you had no way to know that it would work out like this.  You must stay confident and like everyone has said, you will find her another home.  Thank goodness the woman did contact you and didn't just dump her or take her to a shelter.

Ditto - you were and are this dog's savior.  Chin up. You'll find the right home for Pudding, I just know you will!

I went to pick Pudding up but the owner was not home. She is tied up to the front steps and nobody is home. She was barking and growling at me no teeth showing. She is going to have be socialized again since I was socializing her when I had her. She will also need to learn manners. I am hopeful she will get spayed tomorrow or Thursday the good thing is that I am going to be able to pay for her getting spayed since I will be working. It won't be a big job but atleast I will make around $60-70 and that will cover most of her getting spayed.

I will post good pictures when she gets home.

She sure is a cutie.   Prolly wont take long for you to get her socialized again.   Good luck!

No wonder the poor dog is growling....she has no room! She's all tangled up! Poor girl! I think once she realizes that your going to take good care of her - she'll socialize well and be adopted again quickly.

Gosh I'd be livid if I found out one of my former fosters was chained up in a yard all tangled up, no one home, and no shelter!!!  I don't care how bad you finances or home life is - you don't do that to a puppy!

Good on ya for taking her back in and doing what you need to to get her spayed.  I'm sure she'll improve behaviorally in a good home that will work with her and obviously love on her tons until she does find that perfect forever home!

She is home with me! She was a bit growly over there because she was chained. Her owner called and ask me if I would give her a week to decide if she could keep her but I told her that the contract she signed specified that she had to get her spayed at 6 months. She lost her job and could not do it so I told her I had to take her back. When I went to pick her up she was inside the house and she was all loving. She LOVES to ride in the car she didn't like the crate so I put her in the front sit with me and she loved it! When we got home I took her for a 30 minute walk and she was zig zaging everywhere. Right now she is outside on a trolley but I will put her in a crate when I won't be looking at her. Tomorrow I will start working so she will stay in her crate for a little while. I took some pictures. I am sure the kids are going to be happy!

She is so cute, I love the long nose!!

Not being spayed on its own isn't so bad... but not being spayed AND being left oustide, tethered.... what if she had come into season and a male dog had got loose and come to the house??

Not to mention there is no sign of shelter, food or water and that is just about one of the poorest attempts at tethering a dog I've seen - she's all tangled! Sad

I am sure she will be right as rain with you looking after her, and you will find her a GOOD home very soon!

I know the lady didn't was not mean to her. She just was not dog educated. She said she is going to miss Pudding sleeping with her but I told her that I was going to find a good home for her. I will contact the lady that adopted her sisters and see if she knows of somebody that might adopt her, that would turn out great!

I love the way she looks now. Her hair is wiry. She loves to sniff and walk though so I think maybe dachsund? I will start working with her tomorrow on basic obedience.

I'm glad she's back with you! She's a cutie! Well, atleast the old owner is feeling bad about something. I'm glad she's acting better. Chains are bad - I don't care how they're used. How's Shailer liking a playmate?

     How's Shailer liking a playmate?

He loves her the only thing is I am not sure Pudding is thrilled about him. She was fine with him but Shailer plays extremly rough and he is triple her size so he had her on the floor with her tail between her legs because he plays too rough. She was fine though not agressive because she kept look up to him even if he did put her on the ground.

She'll get some confidence soon - if Taz can 'kill' Sam - Pudding can hadle Shailer. Promise! You might want to give them some time apart first - let her get settled some more first.

My sister is teaching her sit and she is learning fast. I will start working tomorrow so I will make sure my sister keeps a good eye on her. The good thing is that I will work from 11am to 4:30pm so that is good, I need the money now, lol.

Thank you EVERYBODY for all the support and the wonderful advise!

Good luck with the new job!

I am going to need it!

It's good that you got her back. The first thing I thought when I saw her picture was wirehaired Dachshund.
