Dogs 101

I've always loved Rupert's smell! It's very faint (well, except when he's sleeping on my face). Even my mom, who is not really a dog-person, says that "he doesn't smell like most dogs."

 Bugsy also has no doggy odor - even wet he doesn't smell wet dog like.  He does have a scent but it is faint and I'm not sure what I would compare it to.  As much fish oil as he gets he ought to smell like a mackerel

As for dogs 101 I was very unimpressed with it - thought some of the info was downright incorrect and misleading and I only saw something on labs and airdales.  Intentionally missed the others

Lol at this...never even heard of that show, but since we're smelling our dogs, I gave mine a sniff too...the bc smells good to me...kind of a human smell, like he's been cuddling up to DH, but not perfumey or stinky, like a natural human smell...Ripley (sheltie) is a little stinky right now, a little oily...like meat??..., and Frosty (sheltie) smells neutral...I gave him several sniffs and couldn't really smell anything. All their feet smell like corn chips.

I recorded the episode with the GSD's and JRT's and finally watched some of it last night.  Not very accurate information for people trying to pick a breed, IMO.  GSD's will take a bullet for you??  JRT's are all crazy???  I probably won't watch the rest although I wanted to see the Corgi's because I love Corgi's and take every opportunity to see them.

Rex has very little doggy odor.  Twister, ditto.  Belle, smells somewhat doggy but not too much.  Of course, it could be that my sniffer has smelled dog smell for so many years that I don't even notice anymore!! LOL
