Any one else watch Bones tonight??

It was pretty cool for a tv show.... The had the Big C on ... Ceasar Milan helps solve a case.... kinda interesting...and sorry even the most ANTI Ceasar  had to tear up when the "killerdog" was found....

Sigh  I love the show anyway but this was impressive....... for the little screen  Virgo no this smiley has nothing to do with the topic.. I just thought it was weird,  Hee hee

     I can appreciate that.

I was glad they made a big point of having the pit bull be sweet and playful and the Mals well trained to commands. The script was pretty good, they had a lot of discussion about how sick dog fighting is, stupid irresponsible pet ownership (the people that initially dumped their dog at the vet to be put down because it was too big once it wasn't a puppy), Bones was going to adopt the dog since he wasn't inherently dangerous, but rather that he'd been commanded to attack.

Not the most realistic, but for a mainstream show, I felt like it was pretty good. More than we usually get!

But Sheesh!  That CM is powerful!  A regular Crocodile Dundee!  I did have to laugh when he made everyone of those dogs drop to their bellies like that. I did tear up though when they ID'd the dog and he said,"I'm so sorry" to the dog.

I loved that Bones got emotional though.  She never does and it made me feel like maybe she's just more like me about stuff like that.   The show doesn't often make me cry, but I was pretty teary eyed at the end, during the funeral.

LOL I figured it was his pack they used.

Overall though I think they touched on some good issues and handled them well - simplistic but good

people gave up the dog because it was too big, etc

I just watched it last night and was not expecting to have a nice cry by the end of it.  I thought that they handled everything really well, especially showing the great training.  The guy that owned the barn had a beautiful APBT that was so friendly and well behaved.

I just hated seeing those photos.

Did you see the commercial near the end where the dogs are talking - absolutely heartbreaking!

What do you mean "inherently" dangerous?

I assumed they used the Shepherd as the attacker because they are more apt to attack on command versus being pitted in a ring.

I'm not asking in a confrontational way but just curious.

I was very pleased with the show despite some innacurracies, I think it showed the general public that a dog used for ill purposes is still capable of love and rehabilitation.

I think it seemed fairly realistic except it sure did take a few pages out of the Micheal Vick case, like when the guy said "I dont know what goes on, I just rent the barn out", LOL OK buddy.

I cried to, whomever wrote the episode is definitely a dog lover and are as tired of the stereotypes as we are.

I've seen pitties getting a lot of good press lately. Now if only more people would get involved instead of turning a blind eye. I dont expect non pit-bull people to take a stand but it would be more realistic if we could hold irresponsible dog owners at fault and put more pressure on dog owners to do the right thing.....whatever the breed
