David told me last night it was THE most scared he's ever been -- first time in his life he ever felt in "mortal danger".
I have the 'new tank' but not gas (just a 'float' of gas to get us started but it will only last a few days). And oh boy, folks -- you gotta know ME ... they *****will***** replace my gas or I will take my compensation in flesh!! (yes I would TOO!!) Rest assured I will most definitely fight for every molecule of gas that is ours!!
I was just so incredibly proud of the whole 'pack mentality' -- and the fact that I have TWO dogs that are hunting breeds and yet, Hootie-meister was just part of the 'bunch' and the bird knew and the dogs knew there was "no harm, no fowl" taken nor meant. *grin*
I don't talk about Hootie much -- he talks. (David taught him, so yes - the bird DOES have David's Scot 'accent' -- but Davey says "No, I'm British, so I speak PROPERLY ... it is you Americans who have the accent(s)".
Because we so majored on him talking, the poor bird is completely musically-impaired. He can NOT sing. He loves "Oldies" music and if it has a whistle part in it ("Sittin on the Dock of the Bay", "What a Day for a Daydream", etc.) he will 'cue' the music with a chirp but HE can't sing.
He imitates a little whistle tune I do that was something my Grandmother used to whistle all the time ... but he does it SO badly it's almost funny. He's tried to 'learn' it for like 8 years now ... and is only now getting ... er ... "close".
But once we all got in the PT Cruiser Tuesday nite (me driving, Hootie in the passenger front, and David and 4 dogs in the back) Hootie was having a blast and was chattering and even started to whistle our "little Tune" -- you'd have thot it was a freaking outing!! LOL
