Eep!  Amanda, Did you cry?  I would have balled like a baby!  I can take the fight, but when Tyler comes and says he's sorry, it reduces me to a blubbering idiot.  And Gummi Bears?!  I'd have broken down completely I'm sure.  I'm glad things are better for you.  Now I need a tissue...

I did cry some.  The last 36 hours have been really bad for us, so we both knew that tears were coming.

I wonder if crying will help get labor started?

    • Gold Top Dog

Suppose if I cry hard enough....doing the laundry didn't do a darn thing...

    • Gold Top Dog

Isn't walking supposed to help speed things up? Or is that just an old wives tale..

Candace, if you're out of laundry to wash, you are more than welcome to come do mine! Big Smile

I am having guilt feelings over missing my friend today.  I am chronically late, which she is well aware of over the ten-plus years we've been friends.

luckily I talked to her this morning and she just knew that something had come up and totally understood.  She's such a good friend!

Luckily, he is good at realizing that he has overreacted.  Tonight he eased over to the couch with me, & said "I kinda overreacted, huh?"  I just agreed, & let it go.  He hopped up, kissed me on the forehead, & walked out of the house.  He came back with a bottle of tequila, a bag of gummi bears, & a bouquet of lilies.  He knows me too well!

Great news!  and a very good man!

    Candace,

It is too bad you don't live by me. There is a road here that will start your labor it really works. It is not 'that' bumpy but the concrete sections have kind of a railroad effect. Years ago I went to a horse show and you have to take this road to get there. My trainer was pregnant, she delivered my horse but didn't stay to work with me as her due date was about 2 weeks away she was staying home now. This road is remote and as I was on my way out, she was on her way home. She had this young man Justin driving with her "just in case". So we stopped in the middle of this intersection and visited. Jan said "if this is not a labor inducing road, I don't know what is!" Justin's eyes just about popped out of his head. The next day Jan was in labor and Jack was born. He was early, not a lot but early. So if you get desperate make a road trip to MI LOL

LOL, Ann, I'm sure there must be a road like that around here.  The only problem is, none around town and I'm not allowed more than a half hour away from the hospital at any given time.  With Kali, I went to the hospital as soon as I figured out I was in labour, they checked me and brought me straight into the delivery room.  They barely had time to get my IV in....stupid nurse...lol, she kept just about getting it, then I'd have another contraction and she'd yank it out saying she'd wait till it was over.  Ya, cause you can do that in like 20 seconds or less, cause thats all the time you've got in between....hehe, ok rant over.

I never had human kids (all my kids have 4 legs and a tail) pregnancy, delivery and 18+ years scared the heebie jeebies out of me LOL My sister was in HARD labor for 38 hours with my nephew (don't know why they did not do a cesarian) He came out looking like something out of a Rocky movie. Two black eyes, bruises you name it. My sister wasn't happy about her "end" either (catch my drift). Anyway when she had my niece, she had 40 min from the first contraction until Kath was born. The doctor almost didn't make it.

Good Luck we are thinking about you. I hope you have it soon, and I hope it goes smoothly for you.

Yup, thats how Kale was.  Well, 18.5 hours and when he finally made his appearance it was with the help of forceps which turned his head into this oblong shape for 2 days.  My poor little alien baby.  I'm sure he was an extra 3 inches longer.  And ya, my end wasn't too thrilled either.  52 stitches through muscle and skin unthrilled.  Kali was a little over 2 hours start to finish.  But it was much more intense.  Less stitches though.
