eek. That's no fun! Sorry I didn't get a chance to post in here yesterday, but I've been thinking about it! I hope all is going much better, and that your BF will recover quickly!

I almost called you Erica ;)

He actually is OK today - he said it isn't too painful and he's driving and whatnot now. He can go to work tomorrow, on light duty, at least.

We're changing the dressing tonight, since it's starting to get a little dirty. One of our good friends, that works with him, is coming over to walk me thru it, since she can teach me two handed.

The guys at work think they're sooo funny - he has a wooden locker at the lifeguard station and they took the handle off of the paddleboard and screwed it to his locker, with the tip of a glove filled with sand to look like a fingertip attached. Weirdos.

Just wanted to give you guys the update! We went to the hand surgeon today and the Dr. said he'll see BF one more time in two weeks, and then he's DONE :) The injury itself has actually healed pretty nicely. Ottoluv was right, if you're not actively looking at his hand, you don't really notice.

He went surfing for a little while today, and he was *so* happy. He has to swim his requirements for work now (a 500 meter swim in 10 minutes) and he's worried that he'll be out of shape. I have a feeling we're going to spend some time in the pool!
