So what did gas cost when you got your driver's License ??

Geez. I really don't remember, it was in 1987 and I would guess near a buck.  I do recall in 1998 I moved from California to St Louis and was so happy about the gas prices there.  I payed 68 cents a gallon in 1998 in STL.

I honestly can't remember how much I paid when I got my DL in 2000. $1.50 maybe? And now its $3.99 a gallon.

Does anyone see an end in sight as to the rising gas prices?

Oh I know, become less independent on foreign fuel and more independent on more environmentally friendly fuel. Sorry. It really burns my biscuits when I think about why we're paying this much in the first place.

I saw the movie (X-rated, animated) "Fritz the Cat" in that car.

OMG - does that bring back a memory!  Years ago a friend and I took our two year olds to a drive-in to see that very movie, having no idea that there was such a thing as an X-rated cartoon.  Fortunately, both the boys were asleep before we even got there.

I remember seeing Fritz the Cat, too. I got see a lot of stuff when I was a kid. Stuff I wasn't allowed to see later. "The last Detail" with Jack Nicholson. The "Last of Sheila."
