POLL: Have you ever had cosmetic surgery?

I would consider it..someday..maybe. I kind of hate my nose, but then other times I don't mind it, so eh.. I don't know. I probably wouldn't ever actually because I'm such a SISSY. I can't imagine the pain after a nose job...yeeeouch.. I can't stand "weird" pain (which I guess I mean more as like..unnatural pain)..as I imagine the pain after having your nose broken and sawed and whatnot would be..

"Weird pain" is also the reason I would never get lipo or anything like that... I just... no.

I'd definitely get moles removed and things of that nature.. I've got a really annoying mole on the back of my neck..sometimes I accidently scratch it open when I'm washing my hair and stuff.. hate that.

But I can't see myself ever doing wrinkle-stuff or face lifts or anything like that, namely because I don't think wrinkles look bad...

Probably some day I'll think about considering a boob lift of some sort, but again with the weird pain..boob pain definitely counts as weird. LOL.

Actually...there is very little pain with nose surgery.  I have experienced way more pain while sitting in a dentist's chair.  That's not to say that the post-surgery period is pleasant, though, when you have to breathe out of your mouth for a week and wipe out bloody snot with a q-tip, lol.

And after I posted, I thought about the fact that I wouldn't want anything done with the BONE of my nose, my only issue is with the end/tip of it...

LOL, well now you've sold me! Stick out tongue

Just kidding..I really don't see myself ever doing it anyway..I'm not self-conscious enough about it.

We actually don't re-create the belly button, it stays in the same place. We make a incision around it, dissect down to the fascia then lift the entire abdominal wall flap off the fascia (minus the belly button) and pull it down. We then trim off the bottom portion, make a new hole for where the belly button should be. So it should look natural since it's your own belly button. Easy peasy........

LOL - well, now it doesn't sound nearly as creepy Wink

    How is the recovery though?

I had my nose done after an accident.  The first few days after surgery sucked, & my nose didn't turn out quite as I had expected, but the surgeon didn't have a lot to work with.  I am open to other procedures.  I'm sure that, as I age, I'll have other work done.

Well... technically not cosmetic surgery from choice but when i was 6 years old, a plastic surgeon repaired 3 spots on my face when I was attacked by a mutt and my parents didn't want the scars to be there forever.

BUTTTT... if i could get surgery now - it would be to remove the scars from my gallbladder surgery and a breast lift... the don't need to be bigger - just perky like in the movies! haha.

Sharismom. I saw the commercial for the bio fit last night and was intrigued. Whats the price? I need a good bra anyway.

My friend also said the bio fit bra was great...I have been thinking of buying one, but the price at least on their website is $45-$50 which I don't have at the moment.

It's a pretty rough recovery. Abdominoplasty is painful, I usually tell people 2-3 weeks till they feel close to normal :)

Defiantly! I have always wanted to get plastic surgery after I turn 40. I would like a breast lift now though, and I'm almost 23. I want everything to look natural..... just better.

My breasts are 2 different sizes. haha, seriously! I wouldn't mind getting the larger one reducted to the size of the smaller one (they're about 1 cup size different). However, i wont consider it until i'm done having children/breastfeeding.

Well that's more info than I needed, LOL, but EVERYONE's breasts are two different sizes!  I can't honestly say I've ever heard of two different cup sizes, but at least you prove the theory.

I'm sure that I need plastic surgery, but I won't get it.  One, because I'm too old to chase men, and two, because if I had enough money to do it, I'd probably use it to open a shelter or something, dognerd that I am.  My mom was a girly girl and she had two face lifts;-)

I had a number of moles removed that could have potentially become cancerous.  During the same surgery several moles were removed from my face - more to make my mom happy than anything else.  All of that didn't even put a dent in the number of moles I have.  Stick out tongue

I also had a deviated septum fixed, so I took advantage of the surgery to also have my nose narrowed a bit at the nostrils.

I sure wish one of my sisters had insurance good enough that she could afford a breast reduction.  Her problems due to a small spinal curvature are further complicated by the weight of her very large breasts.  Less weight would sure help her neck, shoulder, and back muscles!!
