Mindless Chatter - Friday

Oh keep us updated on your sister! I hope everything turns out ok.

I left my conference early. It was killing me. I thought that I was going to pass out from a brain overload if I stayed another minute. So now I'm at home, taking a nice lunch with the dogs. It's 75 and sunny. Perfect! 

 I just heard the saddest story ever. 

A guy from here, I went to school with him I think, just became a dad 2 years ago.  A couple days ago his toddler fell down the stairs and hit his head.  The baby had to be Air Ambulanced to Winnipeg since we aren't equipped to deal with anything here.  On the way there, the baby went brain dead and they pulled the plug.  And then on the way back this guy was in an accident less than an hour from here and was pronounced dead on the scene.  

I feel like throwing up.  I feel sooooo bad for his family.  I'm not sure if he was still with the baby's mother, but if he was...oh geez... I can't even begin to imagine what she is going through right now.  I know I haven't given any names or anything, but if you could please, send up a good thought for this poor family.

Wow!  That is incredibly sad!!  Sending good thoughts for that family and all the people who loved that man and his child. 

I'm leaving work early today - wooohoo!  Just 2 more hours to go!  I gotta get cranking to make sure everything is DONE!!!  Wish I had a good Dunkin Donuts coffee right about now...  Starbucks is just too full of sugars and overloaded flavors!

As Meg said, good juju to everyone having trouble in their family - 2 and 4 legged alike!  My old cat - whom I left back in NH with a friend of mine, so that he wouldn't get eaten by Achilles and Jada - has an owie on his tail.  His new owner says he's being a very good patient.  Even though his new feline sister sits there during his treatments and hisses at him the whole time.  Poor Shadow!

 Oreo has a lung infection - posted about it in the Health section.  I was hoping it was just kennel cough but the vet apparently says it's similar to pneumonia!  Thanks for the good vibes, keep 'em coming.

On the plus side I have gotten a lot done at work today so far: organized donated toys for the enrichment program, signed up a number of people for our first round of Intermediate level classes, helped someone with housetraining issues, and tested some of the donated toys out on my coworker's foster kittens (one of them resource guarded the pouf of fur we gave them so we had to scruff him to get it away lol).
 

Oh i am so sorry about Oreo... Hope he gets better... Can this be treated?

 Oh my god, that story is horrible. At least he is with his baby. Poor wife. Sending all the prayers I can for their family.

TD Banknorth is a hideous place to do business.  Do not ever use them.  I tried to close my account now that I've moved to Arizona.  They neglected to close the account, charged me a $3 service fee for not having a balance, and if they don't process the transfer I just sent them in time, then I will be assessed another $35 overdraft fee.

I hate them, and true to my word, I am publishing it that I would NOT EVER recommend using TD Banknorth.
