Thanks, guys! I'm going in on Thursday afternoon to go through paperwork stuff. I'm so excited!
As for the dog--they're starting me out part time (I'm still a stay at home mom) so I just go to pick up the dog every time I go out this summer. It should be fun, I'm going to be patrolling a 1/2 mile beach chasing gulls all day, then I'll be doing goose stuff in the fall when that starts up again. I get to ride one of those four wheel drive cart things (kinda like a golf cart, but a bit bigger), and then have to walk the beach once an hour and let people know that they shouldn't be feeding the geese. They provide binoculars, first aid kit, etc, and then in the fall I get a laser for startling the geese out of the water at night. I'm going to be working two or three evenings a week until dark, then one or two weekend days.
I'm thinking there are a couple of purchases I want to make, though. I want to get some sort of pair of shoes for the summer that are better for beach and water, and maybe a pair of boots for fall/winter/spring, and I also want to get another collapsible crate to have in the car all the time so I'm not hauling Muggle's in and out all of the time. Maybe I'll get a duffle or knapsack to carry all my gear, too. They also provide a shirt, polo shirt, fleece pullover, baseball cap, fleece hat, and windbreaker with their logo, which I don't have to pay for (awesome!).
I'm looking at these shoes: http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/products/products_sprint.cfm I know they look kinda funny, but they're supposed to be really comfortable and durable and work for any situation. For the fall, I've always wanted something like this: http://www.muckbootsonline.com/Brit_Rider_Equine_Riding_Boots_p/brt000a.htm because they're watertight and I can go wading into ponds if I need to and still stay dry and warm. I'm going to keep my eye on craigslist for another double-door crate, I'm hoping one comes up again soon!
