If I'm not mistaken AIHD (what they used to call auto-immune hemolytic disorder) is now called IMHA (Immune mediated hemolytic anemia) with a few minor differences. IMHA is what Billy has had. There are many, many causes --from vaccines to antibiotics and every single pharmaceutical in between.
But Mookies Mom raises an excellent point -- that ANY drug that causes such a rapid and discernable problem is not a good thing for that dog and you just plain can't be too careful.
I would CERTAINLY ask for a blood panel MONDAY. Fast -- don't wait, and don't just wait to see if it passes.
You honestly might want to simply treat for an ulcer -- and I've posted this recipe elsewhere here - it's totally benign and it won't hurt and it may help 'heal' Pirate's tummy distress.
1 -- half a cup of boiling water.
2 -- add 1 rounded tsp. of ground slippery elm
3 -- let cool totally
4 -- add 1/8 c. + 2 tablespoons of aloe juice
5 -- add 10 drops of chlorophyll
6 -- Add 2-3 capsules (open the caps) of acidolpholus
The slippery elm, aloe, chlorophyll and acidolpholus are all health store items. Ask them for the best tasting one they have -- aloe can be kind of bitter
