What does studding entail?

Um, someone is getting mighty close to personal attacks, and has been for several posts.  And I strongly suspect that if the person under attack weren't one of our moderators AND a respected member, the attacker would have already been slapped on the wrist for being unpleasant.  That fact that Gina IS a moderator puts her in a rather uncomfortable position.
 
Gina, you can come find someplace I've posted and bother me to your hearts content.  I might even do some bothering back for old times sake.

Just finished reading this post from beginning to end and  not quite sure how it all fell apart, but I learned alot!

Machelle, kudos to you and I am glad you were able to sort thru all the posturing (mine included of course) and glean some info...that's what we're all here for (the gleaning info part...lol)

I think that this has been an informative thread. I am hoping to start showing in Conformation soon(just waiting for my breeder to breed and hopefully there will be a show quality female in the litter) and it would be absolutely foolish to not heed the advice given on here. Gina is a responsible breeder of Beagles. I don't see how she could be "anti-show" or "anti-stud" when she shows her Beagles and I'm quite sure she's used a stud dog to breed to her bitches. I respect Gina and quite honestly, if someone were looking to buy a Beagle from a good breeder she'd be the first person I'd recommend. I honestly don't see how anyone was rude on here. Advice was requested and advice was given. Showing can be lots of fun but it can also be very competitive. You can meet lots of nice people and  you can meet total jackasses. You can make a lot of friends and you can meet a lot of backstabbers. I think everyone was just trying to give you the pros and cons of the situation so you can make an informed and educated decision.

Leroi, for the first page of posts Gina was being nice. But, alas, it's the internet and its hard to tell tone. But, I think there was alot of negativity from both parties, and I hope it doesnt sour your opinion of the members on this board. Gina gave you very valuable information, (I sure learnt alot of stuff I didnt know before), and I do not think it was meant to bash you, nor directly targeted at you (refering to the homeless dogs comment).
 
I'm not exactly experienced in breeding or showing, but, .. do take heed to what Gina and the rest of the members said. It is really good information.
