becareful with the coyotes if you have them in abundance around you.
That was one of my primary fears when Grace decided to take off! I know there are coyotes nearby and I don't know how she would do alone against a bunch of them in the middle of the night.
that is interesting about coon hounds air scenting. I know that Grace will put her nose to the ground when she is looking for furry things (mice or rabbits around our shed), but Trudy is pretty much heads up looking for birds. Sight is pretty inportant to the pointing breeds, but both of them will point at something that they can't see.
English Pointers have fox hound, bloodhound and greyhound blended in there, along with a bit of bull terrier for tenacity.
