Looks like a catahoula mix to me too. Don't see ACD or bluetick (he's merle, not ticked) or pit bull- pit bulls typically *aren't* tan-pointed. Damon has tan points, and tan points are recessive- therefore, both parents have to have tan points or at the least carry it. He's very cute.

Here's a fifth vote for Catahoula/Rott! That's what my head said as soon as I saw the pix - my sister has two Catahoula mixes - one and possibly both are supposed to be Cat/Aussie mixes. Both have a longer coat then this doggy, but there are some similarities!

I'd say Catahoula, too. I learned that Australian Cattle dogs are ticked - not merled, so he is definitely NOT an ACD mix.
