Training treats?

Highest value:  Liverwurst.  If you don't want to deal with it as it is, slice it, put the slices in clean cream cheese containers and put it in the freezer.  When the dog deserves her treat, open it up and let the dog enjoy a few licks (or nibbles), but it's really hard for the dog to get a lot, which is good.

Also high value:  Frozen precooked meatballs.  As an added bonus, you can use it to feed those two leggeds in the house.

sorry if my suggestion is a little late .. but maybe try milkbone original dog treats. my dogs go crazy over them and they are only like $1.48. plus, on the box it says they are good for training. ;]
