Where do you live?

We live just outside of a very small town in southern West Virginia in a split level house with a big fenced in yard.  The girls LOVE the yard and usually run along the fence with the other dogs in the neighborhood.  I'm hoping we'll see some action in the pool when spring hits... for now, it's their muddy playground out back!

We live in an apartment in New York City.  Although I LOVE it here and cannot seriously imagine living anywhere else, I do secretly fantasize about living in a big house in the burbs with a basement, garage and a yard.  I'm pretty much fascinated by surbuban life...

We live in a subdivision out in the country.  We have nearly two acres, partly fenced, but just around the pool and the area just around it such as the fireplace, hot tub, and grill and patio.  The rest is open and we get all sorts of wildlife.  Our yard is surrounded by woods and very isolated.  It's nice.  the people behind us have a herd of longhorns and several donkeys.   Our house is 'one story' with upstairs game room and bath.  No idea how that works, but that's what was sold to us.

jjsmom - I took some gorgeous pictures on Sunday of Slick in the park and all the beautiful fall colors.  I'm just having a heckova time resizing them to post.  I'll keep trying...  Oh and yes, all the streets are starting to light up at night already!  (everything seems to be covered in those beautiful white lights from Nov. - Feb).  I do love this time of year in NY.

Rural Mississippi on 105 acres in a 2100 sq ft home that we built over 27 years ago.  No public road can be seen from our house.  We have a creek running through, a large 12 acre pond, lots of woods. We have inside and outside dogs.  We love it!

I live in the contry you could say, mostly forest around me. We have a remodeled large two story house that was in terrible shape when we first moved in, but managed to make it people and pet friendly in a short time. We have a nice large plot of land with a very large area we use as the dog yard, and most of the rest of our land is untamed wilderness that we race and train on.

I live in a teeny tiny apartment. There is, however, a pretty large common yard in front of the apartment building and a block away there's a green strip with a walking trail that eventually leads to a lake/park. It's a nice neighbourhood for such a crappy apartment.

I'm in a nice 2br 2bath condo in a planned community about 20 minutes from Washington DC.  There are countless miles of wooded trails, paved of course.  No yard, no basement.  I live on the 3rd floor.  I guess it's somewhere between urban and suburban because of the location, but I don't want to move and have a longer commute.  Although I dream of having 5 acres fenced and a smallish 2 or 3 BR house....*sigh*

Out in the boondocks about 50 miles north of Houston, TX.  We live in a 5 bedroom house in the center of 150 acres.  The entire property is fenced, then 5 acres around the house is fenced for the dogs.  They do have to cope with the pool but 3 out of 4 love to swim :-)

    That sounds awesome! [:)]

We live in the BOONS as well, on 8.5 acres of tree'd property over-looking the foothills of the White Mountians.  Love it!  Lots of space for us the furry beasties...and future horsies.  We also have a state park up the street that we go to hike trails.  We're lucky if we get a cell signal here...oh well, too bad, lol!
