My spaniel loved the water like that, but the current k-9 residents will literally avoid the bathroom like plague if they hear water running for fear that the shower tolls for them.....Once you drag them in, they will stand and cooperate for bathing, but very grudgingly and with many pained looks and disgusted sighs, and the last one is usually trying to tunnel their way under a large piece of furniture to avoid being dragged in for their turn (having figured out what was up, when cohorts come running out of the bathroom shaking water off their fur and making a beeline for the back door and outside.)  I guess while the shower is a disappointment for you in one way-in another way, keeping your doggie pal clean shouldn't be that much of a problem.  Your halfway there if he gets in the tub by himself-Now you will really have something if he can learn to soap and rinse without help
