Why Don't They Go Straight to...

I thought based on the forum heading and subsections and questions that were previously asked in them when I went through archives that this was a great place to get information. I think you can get a wide amount of information from this site and books and other sites and not just from classes. Some of us I think are just anxious for answers and do not want to wait.

I personally like to ask lots of questions and here other peoples experiences. I don't view anyones questions as being inappropriate to post, I think some here enjoy helping others!

Becuase I had already taught my dog all the commands and the class instructor was an idiot. She didn't know that E. bulldogs tired very easy and couldn't be forced to excerise (laps around the room) with the big dogs prior to class. That my dog fell asleep was HER fault not MINE cause she was wore out from 2 laps.

With my new 5 month puppy, I will ask around to find a competent class this time.

I've watched the puppy classes at our local petsmart and can't believe people get much out of them other than a little extra puppy socialization. There are a lot of good books and videos available about how to raise a puppy. I suspect it would be more helpful if breeders and rescues sent their puppies home with a video and a couple of books rather than a vague suggestion of "class".
