What Do YOU Think Is a Great Cat Food??

I feed Diego Blackwood low fat cat food. He is free fed and seems to be doing good like that. He weighs 12 pounds, which is a good weight for a Norwegian Forest Cat mix. Everybody thinks he`s fat and I get sooo pissed. I`m going to put a sign on the door that says "dont comment on the cats weight unless you know what you`re talking about" Gosh, go read a book!

I feed Felidae to my 3. Before Molly came, Buffy and Willow were eating California Natural and were doing EXCELLENT on it, but then we found Molly and she didn't have a good reaction to CA Natural (who knows why?). So I switched them all to Felidae and Molly's poops stopped being so runny and blood-spotted and Buffy and Willow have actually improved, appearance-wise.

I'm really amazed that no one feeds their cat Iams. Right now my cats are on Iams multi-cat (made for households with overweight and underweight cats).

I personally won't feed Iams because I think it's a lower quality food with a high quality price tag. I can get Innova for a little $ more from a local shop... but it turns out even cheaper once you figure in the Kcals. My cats also aren't picky about their dry food, so I'm not stuck feeding one that's not so great.

We feed our five cats Innova and are leaning somewhat toward Evo.Unfortunately, 3 of them are overweight. It's hard to find time to excercise them properly with Maddi and the fact that some of them won't play when the others are around. Let's forget about the dog [;)], whom won't let them play without making a fuss. We're thinking about turning the attic into a kitty sanctuary though.

We also free-feed, per-say. But, since a few are overweight, they get a certain amount each day. For the most part, they like to partition it themselves in the morning (predog... I mean predawn) and at night.

My three kitty boyz have done really well on Katz-N-Flocken and California Natural Kibble.  I started feeding canned in addition a few months ago because of UTIs in one cat and another who has hypertension and just wanting to make SURE they both get enough moisture.  One has put on some weight with the canned food (piggy), but the other two are maintaining. I've tried a lot of the premium canned - they just don't love Felidae, unfortunately, but they are always pleased with Innova (red label) and Solid Gold Turkey, Chicken, Whitefish and Liver.  So they get small servings of the canned a few times a day and free feed on Eagle Pack Hairball Formula kibble, which I really, really have to rave about.  Benito is a huge, bushy, Maine Coon cat who coughed up many hairballs and Iggy has a really dense coat, too, and we've gone to almost NO hairballs with this food.  It claims to promote passing hair to the litter box and it really, really seems to help mine.

Auburn - I love the picture of your kitties waiting for their morning treat!

Ok my cat with IBD didnt do very well on solid gold. Poops were worse, smell wise.
I am thinking of trying eagle pack next.

Dakota did so well on Innova that I thought I'd try my cats on it too.  HA!!!!  Their poop smells even worse, and there is so much of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm slowly switching over to Wellness, and already I'm noticing a difference in smell and amount.  Will keep you posted!!!!

I just bought Innova Lite for my cat, but I think I should just have gotten him the regular kind.   We'll go through this bag and maybe get the regular next time.   He also eats tripe every day - it's the only time I've ever seen him excited.
