Cat Food

I have 2 cats. One eats all canned diet due to UTI problems. The other eats mostly hard and a little canned food every day.

My male cat eats the canned food. He's fussy and only likes Wellness (turkey and chicken and beef) canned food, which is okay because it is lower in magnesium than anyother cat food I've found. And it's grainless.

I've found that both him and my female love Breeder's Choice Avo Derm Chicken canned. And my female is slow about eating her, but not with this one. I don't give them this all the time though because it contains fish which is not good for my male with UTI problems.

My female is currently eating a mix of Nature's Logic Duck and Salmonhttp://www.natureslogic.com/products/dp_dry_lam.html and Solid Gold.

I don't normally rotate the dry food. I've had such good luck with SG. I tried Innova Evo and Eagle Pack but she wouldn't eat either one. I recieved a free bag of Nature's Logic Duck and Salmon. She actually likes this stuff and the ingredients are super impressive, plus my dog is doing great on their dog food. So I may make Nature's Logic a permanent one.

I'm worried about rotating because cats can be so finicky.

Nope no Target. WalMart has a VERY limited selection when it comes to Cat Stuff. They have some bags of IAMS on the highest shelf but I am not touching that with a ten foot pole. I'd rather feed Ol' Kitty (LOL)

Weve got Whiskas, Friskies, Fancy Feast, Cat Chow etc. I think I can try K-Mart and see if they have One.

Hmm, Walmart should have Purina One. If not, Walmart makes a cat food called Maximum Nutrition. It's acutally made by Nutro - get it Maximum Nutrition/Nutro Max. Anyways, it's better than Purina One and about the same price.

I would avoid anything with colors. Cats are even more sensitive to that than dogs. Stay away from Fancy Feast dry. It's all colors. Way too expensive for what it is. And addictive with lots of sugar.

My cat is doing wonderful on the TWO Serengeti Herbal Felid Diet. He is not quite as crazy about it as he was for EVO, but he still eats it. I am going to rotate between TWO and EVO. He has done excellent on both! Great poops, shiny shiny coat, no eye boogers, and really has a lot more energy! He is an indoor cat and just jumps and runs around the house for no apparent reason. He also has fun playing with the dog toys and balls. He is such a nut! I also mix in some EVO canned or give him canned Sardines/Mackerel once a week when I feed it to my pup. He LOVES fish! [:)]

He is not the picky eater at all, quite the opposite from my pup! He will eat anything and everything. He eats the dogs food and all the samples I have tried with the dog he is happily willing to eat! [:D] He's an odd ball!

I am surprised your walmart doesn't have Purina one for cats. . . I have always gotten it there.

One of my cats was VERY sick as a kitten when I first brought him home and for years his poops were never firm. The only food I could find for him that made his poop firm enough was Purina one. I fed Purina One for the past 8 years, but this past spring I noticed his fur was really changing (very dull and lots of dandruff). I started researching cat foods more and decided that I was feeding him some stuff that I didn't really care for so I switched.

Within 2 weeks on Felidae (by canidae) his dandruff was gone, he had twice the hair and his gloss was back and then some!!

My two free feed on felidae dry and then 3 times a day they get a little canned food (Natural Balance) so that they don't bother the dogs while they are eating.  Barnaby is the pickiest cat ever!!! But he likes the felidae dry and NB canned.  Both do great on these foods and have wonderful coats and fewer hairballs [;)]

Here are Barnaby & Quincey!  [:D]

I meant to ask you how your kitty liked the TWO.  I though about trying it but my guys are doing great on the felidae and NB and Barnaby is SOOOO picky, so I don't think I even want to waste the effort. [:D]

Does youe kitty try to eat Max's TWO elk?? When it is feeding time, Barnaby likes to get on the counter while my back is turned and eat the TWO out of the dogs bowls[:D]

I was going to feed my cat Felidae while Max was on Canidae, but I did a taste test with my cat and he picked EVO over the Felidae...actually wouldn't even try the Felidae. So, we went with EVO for the first bag. Then I got the TWO Serengeti because I only ordered a 4lb bag of the Elk and that would not get me free shipping, so I decided to add on the cat food to pump it up to over $15.00.
Does youe kitty try to eat Max's TWO elk??

Yes he does try to eat Max's food...everything! When Max would turn his nose up to his food I would look over and see the cat eating it! [:D] He is soooo odd....
