I got all my stuff at David's and cannot say that I was very impressed.  I had to really stay on top of them all the time, and the consultant they gave me had a serious listening problem.

IMO, the consultant makes or breaks the David's experience.  Mine was all kinds of awesome. [] I had a friend with one who was terrible.

 
Definately.  I should have shopped around more, but my aunt had a bad experience with a smaller bridal salon closing 2 months before her wedding (she had her dress, but they had, and would not give, the bridemaid's dresses) so I was all paranoid about that.
 
I had bridesmaid whose sizes ranged from 2 to 20 to pregnant, so I wanted them to stick to a basic color, and get whatever style, fabric, or shoe they wanted.  I think I had to explain this a million and 2 times.  I should be fair and add that my frustration was probobly compunded by general wedding stress.  Brides should really be traqed for the last couple of months leading up to the wedding.....

One has to wonder, why spend so much time and money for a wedding when most marriages, ultimately, will fail anyway?  []

It's called love, joy, hope, and a need to share bliss with family and friends.  The ceremony isn't about your future together, it's about the bright beginning and wild emotion.

ok ok I'm back!! []  Well, lets see...

We've been together for six years now so here's hoping that we last[]
We are going to be having the wedding at his cousin's lake house in Honeoye NY.  So it will be a very small wedding.  4 bridesmaids, 2 groomsmen (yeah, it's uneven, but it's ok)
These are my bridesmaids dresses (in the color Paradise).  My sister tried one on already, she looks great in it.  I can't wait til I can get all of us together to try them on!

I will be using cala lilies as my flowers.  I think I will have white and maybe yellow and the girls will have rust colored ones.
No ring bearer or flower girl.  There aren't any small children in either of our families
Ah yes, and we are trying to spend as little money as possible...although after hearing about the dress bill, my fiance's a little worried.[]  He is paying for most of the wedding []

I think I answered everything.  We're still working out the details on centerpieces, gifts, etc.
