I know how frustrating it is when there seems to be no end in sight to the financial woes.  We lived like that for a lot of years when I was growing up.  It does take a toll on you.  But, things can and do change when you least expect it, and one thing for sure is that you'll be one who really appreciates the good that comes your way -- not taking it for granted like lots of people do.  Don't give up hope.

Not to make light of your situation, but if I'm keeping my threads straight here, aren't you the same person with the ducks due to hatch, and a long list of other critters?  I'm thinking you could post a sign in your yard that says "Petting Zoo," charge a small fee, and provide some cool educational sights for kids in your area!!  A more serious idea, what about taking photos of all the animals you have and making them into greeting cards or calendars or something.  My sister used to make quite a bit of money pressing flowers and glueing them on pre-folded card stock.  Yes, she had to buy the cards and matching envelopes, but she tied sets of 5 together with pretty raffia, and sold them for twice what the paper cost.  She used to bring them to local craft fairs and gift shops.  Animal lovers would really enjoy photos of all your critters!  If you don't want to glue photos on cards, what about pressed feathers from the ducks?  I have no idea if they're colorful - but people like natural things like that.  It's very late here, and I'm tired, so tomorrow, these will sound like stupid ideas!!

After a good nights rest and so many wonderful ideas, I'm feeling better. My biggest problem is that I hold everything in and ignore the way I am feeling until I just explode. I am going to try many of the ideas I have been givin. Thank you all so much. Mic, I responded to your message. Thank you, you are very kind. My message was cut short when my son hit the enter button.

We have a newspaper called the Citypaper here that advertises clinical trials.  It comes out once a week and is a newspaper with little regard for the rules... they will curse, etc. in it.  But, also check the web sites of local hospitals and I think there is a web site clinicaltrials.com or .gov.  I bet if you do a google search for clinical trials and your city, you will find some stuff.  There is one specific hospital here that does a lot of the clinical trials.  Oh, also you can search NIDA I think it is.... national institue on drugs and aging.  When I get the paper next Wednesday I will look to make sure, but I tend to think if it is a national org. they are testing more places than just Baltimore.  A lot of the ads need healthy ppl. as well as those with the problems they test so they can see a comparison.  Just make sure when you meet with the people that it is in one of the last stages of testing and is safe.  I am not all about being the first guinea pig, although if I had a problem and needed help, maybe I would be more interested in that.

As someone else said, I'm not sure if you're from Canada or California but if it's California, do you live near a Kohl's?  I work there nights supervising the team that sets the ad and it's anywhere from 2-4 nights a week and it's great money.  I don't leave until after the younger boys are in bed so I don't miss anything and because my husband is home by then, I don't have to pay a sitter.  I'm not sure but other retailers ;probably have this type of work also.  Or as someone else mentioned, Walmart or Target have overnight stock positions as well.  Also, call centers (insurance and credit card companies) are a great place to get third shift work.  The only downside I'm dealing with is that I NEVER SLEEP.  But that's okay if I can be home with the boys and the pup. Or, since you have childcare experience, what about a daycare center where you can bring your little one with you?
