I don't think I have a problem with this kid...but I do think he should lose the heels...who wears heels to school? Do they even allow heels? Dress it down and keep the dresses if you want. I see many a young woman wearing MALE clothing and what of that?

Now I see he got suspended for profanity in this case...which he admitted..so if he comes back to school dressed as a girl...and minds the  rules on behavior and language...why shouldn't be be allowed to? In this day where skirt barely cover behinds on most girls...isn't that JUST as big a distraction?

Maybe, but times are changin and people have to adjust. If we don't let kids be who they want to be we see them on the news taking their lives or the lives of others.

Our high school had a blanket dress code for the boys and girls: no skirts or shorts above the knees, tops must all have sleeves, no underwear/boxers/panties/thongs/bra straps showing, no graphics with profanity or activities against school policy (read: beer t-shirts).

I don't care if a tranny is at my school as long as the same rules apply to everyone.  There was a guy at my school who dressed like a girl and used the girl's bathroom.  I don't think anyone really cared (well, maybe parents would care since I went to a strict private school, but kids didn't care).

A friend came by and Rodney said he had an outburst. Rodney said police officers then ticketed him for using profane language. "I got myself suspended in a way," he said.

"When I try and do the whole cross-dressing thing, everything just blows up in my face," he said Friday. "I can't be who I am. They basically stripped me of who I am."

If you are going against the norm, IMHO you have a responsibility to do so, well, responsibly. Be an ambassador. Swearing in the hallway and then getting upset when you get in trouble for it doesn't help further the cause of transsexual students.
I'm not against transsexuals in high school - we had several "butch" girls in my school who dressed like men, cut their hair short, didn't shave their legs, etc. But one has to choose one's battles and behave sensibly, no matter what kind of clothes you're wearing.

That's really strange to me. If a guy had dressed in the drag at my high school, I seriously doubt anyone would have cared.
