Has anyone's gas price gone over $3.00 yet?

I grew up in Silicon Valley...
I could not have even afforded to have  my children had I stayed there, let alone stay HOME with them...and that's one trade off that was incredibly worth it. [;)]

I found gas in this area, as low as $2.50 and as high as $2.85 on one of those websites. There's a corner in my city with 2 newly built gas stations one on each corner. That's usually the cheapest place...they are always undercutting each other by a few cents...wheee!

I need to be on one of the coasts. I don't much care which, but I don't think I could live anywhere in the middle of the country, because it makes me feel..claustrophobic, which is strange, because I'm really not a claustophobic person, plus, uhm, open land isn't exactly an enclosed space. But even if I hardly ever see the ocean, it's comforting to know it's close. Yeah, I'm a wee-bit psycho. [:D]

BUT do you have a skyline like THESE in Oklahoma City?

Aahhhh, but with the money we are saving we get to see way more skylines due to travel than one and being too broke to travel......Happy Trails To You.........[;)]

Here is the state I live in.....not too shabby....eh?

I jest with you all...but in reality, give me the beauty of Colorado any day compared to our beautiful skyline and astronomical prices in southern CA![;)]

Do you all think that the incomes in higher cost areas compensate?  My best friend lives in Tampa and makes about 1/2 what I make, and we're both in admin.  It was just about as bad when she lived in North Carolina too.  I just wonder how it all works out.  There are quite a few families in my neighborhood living in huge homes, driving expensive cars, and many are stay at home moms (or dads).  Do you think it sort of all works out?

3.37 yesterday in Los Angelels - it's been over 3.30 for over a week. [:(]

Homes and gas may be expensive here - but the local produce is heaven. My tomato plants always give me 2nd batches in the winter, and I have basil, arugula and other yummies sprouting up spontaneously! Yum!

It's $2.63 a gallon here, which is annoying.  I loathe filling up, but I'm lucky that it's a bi-monthly event with my four cylinder.
